Black Bear Restaurant We went to this restaurant twice, though I wanted to go more. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Helpings are large for a great price and they have fresh squeezed orange juice (although the price for that is higher as a result). The quality was excellent, the service generally good. Since the Black Bear is a California-only chain, you get the feeling of being among locals, without treading too far into unfamiliar territory. Beware one caveat: they don't accept travelers checks in amounts higher than $20.00.

A good value for wine tasting This is a great alternative to the very expensive, but lovely, inns of the wine country if you are heading to this area for wine tasting. We actually drove over 500 miles in 3 days just sightseeing and wine tasting, but it didn't feel like it, because we had such a good time. Wine tasting in the Sonoma and Russian River area is very accessible from this hotel. Trips to the coast and hikes in the hills are also easy to get to and beautiful while traveling.

Kendall Jackson - Exec Chef Justin Look up Justin at the Kendall Jackson wine experience and definitely do the food and wine match getting him to explaint he matches - he is a whizz at food and passionate about sharing tips and innovative new food techniques and matches! Ask about the beetjelly and tell him the New Zealanders sent you!
