The hotel is located in a great spot and has a fine restaurant. It's within walking distance to other restaurants too, and there's an adjacent upscale market. The elevators need a cosmetic makeover but work fine. Staff is courteous, rates are good.

Sushi: Casa Arigato Sushi Restaurant and Cafe This is a very nice sushi bar with very good quality at a good price. Fresh and very well prepared with good service. My only complaint is you can't sit outside if you have alcohol, but it is worth sitting inside for the very good food. B+ overall and I will eat here again.

make sure you have excellent directions! This is one of the most confusing cities in California for tourists who are driving. Make sure you have precise directions if you plan on finding anything around here. The streets aren't marked very well to begin with and you can't see any addresses at night due to minimal street lighting.
