The bed coverings are a bit worn. My guest said the bed was uncomfortable. Sitting on the bed, I noticed the pillows were worn and thin. If you are used to a courtyard this is a no-go.
I am from this city and a guest needed a room overnight. It was not a very clean bathroom, but then again I usually stay at only marriott courtyard, townplace inn and suites, hampton inn, 3 star and above chain properties.
I was a little embarrassed and probably would not find myself recommending this property unless price was the only variable involved for the guest and you are very very flexible.
He reported noise level was unfavorable- party kids next door or something. I think this property has some undesirables as frequent guests was the look and feel of the room. Kind of an "ewe" factor.
When I went to pick up my guest, the gardeners were there, and blowing out the parking lot. They didn't seem interested in stopping whil he and I were making it to the car, so we got blasted and fuel-infused as they continued working by our door. Yuck.
At least they have gardeners, this is an important point to consider. It is all relative.

Fairly Good Hotel

We are local resident of the area and when our house had a major water leak that flooded our kitchen we decided to stay in this hotel. We were a little bit hesitant to stay in this hotel because of the reviews and because we are both seniors and needed a good and safe place to stay in the city. But our fears were dismissed when the people working in the hotel were more than willing to help us and find us a fairly nice room that is good for old folks like us. We can not thank them more for the kind and hospitable accommodation they gave us. Bless those people.

Worst motel I have ever been to

I picked based on price, but you get what you pay for- dirt-streaked pillow cases, graffiti of crack pipe on bathroom wall, short curly dark stray hairs in the grimy, moldy bathtub, newspapers spread out on carpet. The live-ins there make the place seem like a halfway house, and I was a bit concerned about being woken up at 3 in the morning by someone banging on the door, especially since the security latch chain was broken. I am used to staying at dives, but this place was really creepy and felt unsafe. Stay somewhere else!

OK 2 star hotel

We were traveling from Palm Springs to Las Vegas when we chance upon this hotel or motel in Redlands CA. Price is not so much and we are very grateful to the cleaning staff who kept the special ortho pillows which we left. We called back after we discovered leaving the pillows and the person who answered the phone told us that they will keep it until our return and sure enough we got it three days after. Many thanks.

Bugs Life

We booked this hotel based on price, photos & positive reviews on another travel site, but found the reviews here much more accurate. Unfortunately I didn't read them until it was too late.

We checked in with no problem but when we got to the room it smelled dank and musty. When I went into the bathroom there were earwigs (bugs) crawling on the floor and wall. Ick! We went back to the office explaining why we didn't want to stay there and were offerred an "upgrade" to a room at the front of the complex. I couldn't possibly have gotten a good night's sleep there and am awaiting my credit card statement to ensure the charges were backed off as promised.

I had to stay in this budget motel, it was close to work and available on a budget to not be exceeded. My stay was for a 3 nights prepaid (no refunds allowed). It was a nightmare of noise and grime. Absolutely filthy. The main problem is that the filth seeps out rather than impressing you right up front. The lady at the front desk was cordial (that was okay) but behind thick glass.The tiny room's TV wasn't working and I was told by the lady that the repair person was gone for the night at 4pm. The dark carpet floor may have been forest green to start with, but I soon realized the floor was really dark and lumpy for a reason -- seeping dirt slicks on the floor. I couldn't be barefoot anywhere- even outside by the pool. It was too scarry to go anywhere with the live-ins smoking and staring out their windows for the night entertainment. Lots of noise not condusive to sleep.
I had to endure this gross place and will never ever return to any of the chain. This is a short snippet of the letter I'm sending to the company directly. For your family and self go somewhere else.

Since this was submitted, I have addressed the issue and made sure measures were taken to prevent this from happing again. We have gone through some changes with our Maintenance and Housekeeping departments. The new employees have gone through training and are motivated to keep the property a cleaner environment.

We were scheduled to stay for 7 days and after 5 minutes in the room we had to leave because of the horrible roach infestation. The bathroom was rusty and moldy. It was honestly the most scary place I have ever been, and I have stayed in much cheaper hotels that were 10 times better. I have never seen such a dump!

Since this review we have serious actions on taking care of this problem, We have now changed pest control companies. We have also taken care of any mold or rust problems that might have been appeared. We now have a new employees in our maintenance and housekeeping departments that are trained to take actions on any of these problems immediately.

I stayed at the Good Nite with my 3 children. We were planning on staying for maybe three days. After the first, watching the "live-ins" come and go, and having my childrens feet and knees filthy from crawling around on the carpet, I was completely disgusted. I too wondered if the rooms had been cleaned, especially the linens. Knowing the area now, I know it's not in a bad location, but not knowing it then, I was scared at night and barred the door with a chair. I would not go back there.

This place was scary....people drinking beer and loitering in the halls all night long, felt like it was located in a high crime area with no security. The girl who checked us in was in a locked room behind a glass window. Then we had no towels in the rooms...had to go to the office to gather our own, not sure the rooms were even cleaned when we got into them. I wish we'd been warned...

Getting into the hotel. The hotel is located on Howe Ave. which is divided, so getting in from the north is as easy as turning right when you hit the driveway, and exiting the I-50 at Howe heading South will do just that. But if you're coming from Folsom Blvd to the south, it is important to note the best access is to head West of the hotel to the next street, I can't remember the name but the hotel staff will gladly let you know, then head north on that street and loop around by the Denny's Restaurant, which puts you on Howe just norrth of the freeway, just turn right at Howe, cross the freeway and you're there. It's much easier than heading north on Howe for a mile and half and doubling back.
