Excellent Dining without pretention Two restaurants were especially lovely. Artisan was caually classy. Taste and presentation were excellent. While the prices were moderately expensive, the quality justified it. Let's just say, the same meal in the Napa Valley would be 50% more. Villa Creek was equally delicious. Preparation and taste was superior. The "butternut squash enchilada" was a first for me, butnot quirky, just yummy. Their internal wine list is exceptional. The Villa Creek White was an excellent Rhone blend.

Castoro Winery I loved this winery. For one, they carry more wines than any other winery I've ever been to--and I live an hour from Napa. What's even better is that their wines are not only very tasty, but affordable. I mean, it's fun to go to Napa and taste great wines, but how often am I going to serve wines costing $30 or more? Only with guests. They have one wine called Tango which was so rich and buttery, it reminded of my favorite white wine of all: Rombauer Carneros Chardonnay.
