Top Local Tips for Pacific Grove

Nights can be a bit chilly! I would recommend going in June/July as the weather was perfect. 60-70 each day, but 50s at night. Bring light jacket and pants!

Picnic In The Room Bring along a cold chest filled with deli or homemade tid bits, a bottle of wine, then picnic in your room either in front of the fireplace or if you book the Balcony Room, in the summer-sleeping porch which is completely surrounded by windows and oceanfront ! We spread of picnic a top the day bed, piled decorated pillows high to lean back upon, and had a feast - both in our tummies and to behold by our senses... the ocean... the breezes. Lovely and much better than dressing up and driving and dining out which we can do any time at home. The upstairs Chapel Room, The Gable Room, The Jennifer Room all have great alcoves to dine in front of with great views as well. The Lacy Suite downstairs has a wonderful fireplace and a lovely bay window alcove as well ! Bon Apetito !!!

Duck Club Grill for dinner The Duck Club is in a hotel at the far end of Cannery Row but its worth the walk. The food and wine were terrific and the service was exceptionally firendly. The dining room hangs over the water with a great view across Monterey Bay. When the surf came in it crashed on the rocks below almost to the window sills beside us.The Steinbeck Roasted Duck is delicious.
