Top Local Tips for Newport Beach

Tommy Bahamas Tropical Cafe We tried Tommy Bahama's Tropical Cafe and found the restaurant to be a pleasant environment with good service. The food, however, was okay - not exceptional (we had the mahi sandwich and a tropical chicken salad). Parking on a Saturday afternoon (between noon and one) in the lot in front of the restaurant was impossible without getting lucky. We gave up and came back Sunday afternoon. The parking gridlock had dissappeared by then.

VillaNova restaurant We really lucked out with food on this trip! Try VillaNova Italian restaurant on the Pacific Coast Highway -- make reservations and try to get a Waterfront table. Great food, live piano music and lovely atmosphere!
