Fun around the Newport pier The restaurant below the hotel is fantastic! Great wine list, gourmet food and large portions. For a few beers as the sun goes down, Blackie's Bar is a block away and has very cold beer, and a decent selection. The locals meet here, so you get a flavor for the area. Friendly and fun! Lastly, the find of the night was the BLUE BEET. We arrived on a Tuesday night and this bar had 80's music/dance night. We are 40 year olds and every song had us dancing the night away. Though crowded to the point of not getting our drink order after waiting awhile, we just went back to the dance floor.

The Crab Cooker and the Baja Rockfish? These two places were absolutly nasty!! But then I like heathly well prepared food with a little flare. These two places were greasy, greasy, greasy! YUCK!! On the other hand Sharky's had awesome food but it is loud and full of young locals-but fun! great healthy food. Also the Rusty Pelican was great all the way around. 21 OceanFront was good and very classy, but highly overpriced. Highly!!
