My friend got married at Balboa Inn Hotel, and we were lucky enough to attend and get a vacation out of it too! I would highly recommend a Newport Beach wedding. It was such a romantic location, and we found the staff to be helpful and caring. Our other friends and family members were really happy with their rooms and the kind service we received.

The Balboa Inn Hotel is a great place just to go for a relaxing weekend. We stayed a few extra days at this historic Newport Beach Oceanfront hotel to enjoy the area. We swam, took a walk on the boardwalk, and really liked being steps away from the beach.

We'll go back again, wedding or not!

Top Local Tips for Newport Beach

Villa Nova Definitely plan to have dinner at this old landmark where Joe Dimaggio took Marilyn Monroe on a blind date and Vincent Minelli proposed to Judy Garland. Plan on getting a gondola ride from the hotel to the restaurant. Brilliant!!!

Expensive parking tickets Watch the meters if you park near the beach. You do not have to put change in after 6 pm, but if you run out of time on the meter even 10 minutes before 6 pm, Newport Beach Police wil give you a $47.00 parking ticket. We literally ran out of time a few minutes before 6 pm and this happended. Ouch!

I have traveled all around the world, went to Europe, to South America and always faced with the same thing... How you treat people, how they treat you back, simple! I have stayed, dinned at this fine establishment for many years and still do. Balboa Inn is one of my favorite spots I would like to stay when I am in Southern California. Great staff, wonderful accommodations, lots of attractions around. You can go out to fishing trips, whale watching, electric boat rides in beautiful Newport beach harbor, incredible choices of food and restaurants, very close to the John Wayne airport. So, what I am saying is; if you are a boring traveler, staying in the room all day and looking at the ceiling I can assure you that you might find cracks on the ceiling and paint chips on floor board
