The hotel was extremely nice and it was one of the best stays I have had in a hotel. However, when I booked the reservation online the online company never submitted it to The Embarcadero Inn. We arrived at about ten at night and luckily there was a vacancy. If it would have been a busy weekend on the coast there would have been no way for us to get a room anywhere and we would have had to drive 2 1/2 hours back home. So all in all, great hotel with fabulous people, but a horrible online reservation experience.

Top Local Tips for Morro Bay

If you like Mexican you have to eat at Taco Temple Make sure you try Taco Temple. It is a few miles out and you need to drive, but worth the effort! Excellent find in Morro Bay!

this town shuts down at 9PM be aware this is not a hopping beach town, it is a sleepy little village and everything shuts down at 9PM, we ate dinner and walked around after, and every business was closed by 9.

There is no real nightlife This town is suited for a relaxing, non-party kind of getaway. It closes down early, so bear this in mind if you come for a visit.
