Worst hotel I ever had

The Travelodge Downtown Monterey hotel was the worst hotel I had. Cost more than $150. I booked a non-smoking room, but I had a smoking room. Dirty, smell, no air condition in July. Our family had very bad experience from that trip. Since then, I never booked travelodge again. Since then, I pay more and book a better hotel. It's very bad bad bad .... Don't ask me to book travelodge again....

Whale watching Wrap up very warmly and at the very least buy some ginger sweets to avert sea sickness - there can be heavy swell!
Lots of thing to do in Monterey area for a long weekend ... We spent 2 1/2 days in Monterey and could easily have spent another day or two in this area. Our visit to the Monterey aquarium was very enjoyable. Carmel by the Sea was a cute city near by with art galleries and good food. The two missions near by were worth visiting.
Dining Kathy's for Breakfast, and PassionFish for dinner, ask the front desk for directions
