Loved the Aquarium and Bike To Carmel Cycling: We paid the $5 to park all day and rented bikes for the day to ride to Carmel and back, stopping for lunch. We were gone about 6 hours including stops, wandering in Carmel and lunch. Warning: There are hills. (There are none where I come from so it was a wee challenge. Maybe I'm just whining). The bike shop gives a pretty unintelligible map for the 17 mile drive but there are signs along the way. If you want to know what route to take though, maybe find something online and print it out before you go. Be sure to stop in Pebble Beach and see the 18th green! Aquarium:Totally worth my $25 (this, coming from the girl who split the tab on a $42 motel room). I thought we'd breeze through in 1.5 hours but were there 3+ and had to be kicked out at closing time. It was awesome!

Monterey Bay Aquarium Good for families with children, not too good for couples. Very crowded and definitely geared towards children.

Stay away from Padre Oaks Pay a little bit more and go the the Mariposa just down the street. It will cost you less in the long run...Stay away from the evil, ugly, smelly, Iraqi woman at the Padre Oaks....
