My husband had flowers delivered to the hotel for our Anniversary but they put the flowers in a room for which I had cancelled a reservation. They did not bother to move the flowers or let me know that flowers had arrived for me. When my husband called and asked them to reimburse the cost, Deborah, the manager hid behind her two star rating, saying they weren't a service hotel and would not reimburse the flowers for which they had signed. When a hotel can't own up to its own mistakes, they don't deserve my or anyone else's business.

Even in August it was chilly in the evening bring a sweatshirt for the trip to the wharf in the evening
Lots to see and do Definitely make time for Hearst Castle. Also the Montery Bay Aquarium is great for kids and for people who don't live by the ocean. lots of "touch pools" for the kdis. No animal shows though. Vancouver Aquarium is better. Laguna Seca Speedway is close by, as is Pebble Beach - definitely do the 17-mile drive (the self-guided map provided is worth the $9.00 fee for the drive). Carmel is worth a visit.
try Dennys one of the best Dennys ive ate in...excellent breakfasts and only 2 mins walk from the travelodge
