Comfortable And Convenient

Sierra Lodge is set up as a good place for travelers wishing to explore the outdoors and have comfortable headquarters to return to.
There are kitchettes in the rooms for making snacks and light meals. The rooms are quite large with enough room to store bulky clothing and luggage. There is also a large attractive room in the lodge to go and relax and play board games. This is where the complimentary continental breakfast is served. It looked like guests could probably have a hot drink there anytime. A hot tub is available as well.
One really great feature in winter is the parking garage and storage lockers for outdoor equipment. The lodge is close to many restaurants and the shuttle stopped right in front.
One of the few things that we disliked was the high fee for using the wireless available in the rooms. It was a rip-off compared to the other places we stayed on that trip. Most of those lodgings charged nothing.
The only other negatives were our very hard pillows, (bring your own if you're sensitive to that kind of thing) and the lighting was a little dim.
We would stay there again.

GET A ROOMSAVER!! It saves you a lot of money!! The first thing you must do when travelling the States is get Roomsavers and others in the gasstations and welcome Centers, it wille save you a lot!! Problem is that many hotels do not have the rate at that moment, but in the Sierra Lodge they take it with a big smile!! When you are travelling, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you sleep well. We LOVE THE STATES but the noise of the cars and especially the ICE VENDERS in the hotels is not so nice, in this hotels your sleep is GUARENTEED!! We regret that we could not stay any longer. Now we are at home again and we heard on the radio that the plane of Steve Fossett was found in Mammoth LAkes, WE COULDNT BELIEVE OUR EARS!! WE WILL NEVER FORGET MAMMOTH LAKES!!
