Sierra Lodge is set up as a good place for travelers wishing to explore the outdoors and have comfortable headquarters to return to. There are kitchettes in the rooms for making snacks and light meals. The rooms are quite large with enough room to store bulky clothing and luggage. There is also a large attractive room in the lodge to go and relax and play board games. This is where the complimentary continental breakfast is served. It looked like guests could probably have a hot drink there anytime. A hot tub is available as well. One really great feature in winter is the parking garage and storage lockers for outdoor equipment. The lodge is close to many restaurants and the shuttle stopped right in front. One of the few things that we disliked was the high fee for using the wireless available in the rooms. It was a rip-off compared to the other places we stayed on that trip. Most of those lodgings charged nothing. The only other negatives were our very hard pillows, (bring your own if you're sensitive to that kind of thing) and the lighting was a little dim. We would stay there again.
