| Comfortable Room for an extended stay |
| We were playing tourist in our own neighborhood, so to speak. Although we had lived in the greater Los Angeles area for a number of years, we have relocated to a quieter Riverside County location. Each year we have travelled either abroad and throughout the United States. This year we made a list of Los Angeles attractions that we had never or recently seen. We wanted a centrally located hotel from which we could walk or take public transportation. We selected the Ritz Milner for its reasonable price, parking, and proximity to downtown attractions. We requested and received a king sized suite which we found to be very comfortable. The room was quite large with a king sized bed, couch (convertible to a bed) with a cocktail table, adequate lighting, game table with two upholstered chairs. The bath had a pullman sink with plenty of room to spread out cosmetic items, a very large mirror, good lighting,a hair dryer, a tub shower combo and commode. There was an additional pullman with sink and full sized mirror within the room as well.
This was our base of operations for the week. We were well treated, the room was cleaned daily, sheets were changed at least once, possibly more, lots of towels and even washcloths and bathmats.
Our daily rate of under $90.00 (AAA Rate) also inclded a full breakfast at IHop across the street.
The desk staff was, however, not very helpful. There was no one to assist with luggage, and on the one day when we returned to an untouched room and unmade bed, there was not
much interest in correcting the problem. It was only with much insistence that someone addressed the issue. It would have been beneficial if the staff had worn name tage.
Still, for the money and location, we truly enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay there again if we were in the Los Angeles ares. |
