Comfortable Room for an extended stay
We were playing tourist in our own neighborhood, so to speak. Although we had lived in the greater Los Angeles area for a number of years, we have relocated to a quieter Riverside County location. Each year we have travelled either abroad and throughout the United States. This year we made a list of Los Angeles attractions that we had never or recently seen. We wanted a centrally located hotel from which we could walk or take public transportation. We selected the Ritz Milner for its reasonable price, parking, and proximity to downtown attractions. Great budget hotel, shame about the staff
My partner and I stayed at the Ritz Milner for a week during E3. The hotel itself was fine. The room was very small and the shower room (no bath) was really tiny but we didn't spend much time there, just slept there.
There was no clear indication of how we should access the internet. There was an ethernet cable in our room but there was a note saying that it needed a credit card (although we had read on Expedia that there was free wireless). On the reception desk it said that there was a charge of $9.95 a day for the net, however we plugged the cable in and it connected without a signup screen or asking for our credit card details. We haven't been charged yet (but who knows, that was the least of our worries).
It is in a great location, for downtown LA with bus stops outside and Metro station just up the road.
The main problem we had with this hotel was one member of staff. He unfortunately checked us in and out. Although he didn't actually do either of them. When we a...Read more

Affordable good location
While my room was small, it had all the amenities needed to make my stay comfortable.
Hair dryer, coffee makers, internet, alarm clock radio and cable TV with Showtime.
A full American breakfast is included at IHOP.
Great location near Staples, Convention Center, Metro station and great restaurants.
Why pay double or triple?
