Nice place to stay if your taking the Carnival Cruise. Would be nice if they offered free trans to terminal. Instead of 'take the Bus' rooms ok service ok.. food sucks...

Good hotel
from RioFan26
This hotel is beautifully located with rooms looking out onto the (nice side) of the harbor. Rooms are comfortable and well maintained and the lobby is very inviting. It's like a retreat from the city, even though it only takes 2 minutes to get into the city with a car. You can also walk along manicured lawns to the Queen Mary. Breakfast was good, but not great.
Coast Hotel: Very Good

The Coast Hotel Long Beach was an excellent hotel. It was very reasonably priced and the help was super. The hotel is situated on the bay, so our view was wonderful and the food was extremely good and reasonably priced.
Very Comfortable Rooms, Wonderful Staff, Beautiful Views and Grounds
from Litgirl24
We stayed at the Coast Long Beach Hotel post-trip to Disneyland, and it was perfect. First of all, the staff was very friendly; when we called (because we were lost, they were great at helping us find our way from the city of Anaheim to the hotel).
Second, it's quiet, parking is not a hassle, and it's free. What a relief from the hotels right in Los Angeles, and from Disneyland. With a huge parking lot, we parked right next to our building. The elevator was quick and took us right to our spacious room with two queen sized beds, a large tv, desk, and a nice, bathroom with marble shower/tub. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and even mouthwash are provided! And, the bed was so comfortable -- this was one of the best night's of sleep I've had in a long time.
Every room has a patio with chairs and a table, which is very nice! We had a view of the (very green) lawn, which was nice, but be sure to ask for a view of the harbor.
The hotel has several amenities. It has a gym, yacht trips (you have to book them), shuttle service, pathways leading to the Queen Mary, beautiful grounds, room service, (w/ a large menu), and a restaurant. The only con I can think of is that the tv did not offer basic channels, just 4 cable channels, and pay-per-view movies.
For meals, we were given several choices, and help from the concierge about restaurants in town. For dinner, we ate at a lovely, romantic, moderately priced, Italian restaurant in town on Broadway Street, called Cafe Picolo (with white xmas lights and indoor fountains and gardens). What a find!
In the morning, we sat outside at the hotel restaurant, facing a grand view of the harbor, and of Queen Mary. Because it was a Tuesday, it was quiet, peaceful, food was good and reasonable, and the waiter was incredibly sweet and attentive. We didn't want to leave!
However, when we did leave, we took the pathway from the hotel to the Queen Mary (a tour, I'd highly recommend). A lovely way to end. This was a very comfortable, spacious hotel with wonderful staff and beautiful grounds. I'd definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay!
from GetawayGangAlberta
We spent 5 night at the end of March here. The hotel complex consisted of several nicely landscaped buildings. There was a paved pathway along the river which went all the way to the Queen Mary. We had a room on the top floor with a vaulted ceiling. The bathrooms were marble but a little cramped. The beds were very comfortable and there was a small table as well as a desk. The hotel restaurant was good with friendly service. There weren't any other restaruants close by that we went to, however the City of Long Beach operates a free shuttle service to downtown and the tourist areas that stops at the hotel. We found this hotel to be a restful oasis in a bustling city.
Great View of the Bay!
from CaliShel
The best thing about this hotel in the view we had from our balcony, the grounds themselves and the location to Catalina Express Landing. Our room could use some updated furniture and decor but for the most part was nicely furnished.

We stayed pre cruise in August and liked it so much we are coming to town two days early this time just to enjoy the hotel and surroundings. Couldn't ask for more polite, helpful staff. Bartender was so fun .Nice pool overlooking the bay. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We recently went to LA we stayed at the westcoast long beach, it was the best hotel we've stayed in, the rooms were excellent, clean well equipped. Service was impeccable.
The staff were more than helpfull, everyone was friendly and willing to help anyway we needed, bus timetables tour info, stuff like that although not impressed with LA in general we'd definatly go back to the WestCoast Long Beach.

This is a great hotel!!! Took my daughter to Long Beach for the NCAA
Girls Volleyball finals in December. The staff was great. Guys at the
front desk were courteous and helpful. We loved our waiters. We ate
breakfast there everyday and the wait staff couldn't have taken better
care of us. The food by the way was great. A nice selection of dishes.
The grounds were well kept. The walk along the bay is wonderful especially at sunrise. Rooms were good sized and very nice. I can't wait to take my family back there. Add the beautiful weather and this was a dream vacation.

Lovely hotel on the water with an awesome view. The rooms are pretty nice & fairly large. The gym is small but with ok equipments. There is a restaurant on-site but we didn't eat there, except for coffee every morn. Our room was clean & had decent towels etc.....The room has a refridgerator, but no microwave, could use a microwave in the rooms. I would definitely stay there again. It's close to lots of Long Beach downtown activities. It's not easy driving directions to find the hotel, but once you've found it, it's well worth it.
Simply Amazing
from A TripAdvisor Member
I stayed here during a convention and had an amazing time. Had a 1st floor room and could walk out my glass door and right to the water. There is a bridge that lights up different colors at night which makes the view even more incredible at night. It is only a 10 min walk to the Queen Mary. I will never stay anywhere else when in Long Beach!
