The room at first was pleasant. After a while I started noticing how dirty and run down the place was. Bathroom was filthy. And the continental breakfast was nothing more than mini muffins and a cup of cold coffee.

Good clean room for the price. But, another national chain, purchasing an existing building. Rooms are begining to show their dated age.

Water was trickling and cold. I can hear a lot of noise from ajoining room. The desk clerk was rude when I asked for the rates (which was higher than what I booked for) -- he did not know my booking was prepaid.

Spa in room had floaties, was dirty, not enough hot water 1/4 filled with hot then it went cold, Carpet had whitish crusty things on it, needed more toilet paper, only one of the two keys worked, shower temp went warm to hot to cold, bath towels are for midgets and only 3 were in room. He wouldnt budge on a disc rate we requested due to paying higher rate for spa room we couldnt use. Claimed our friends next door got a disc because they're spa jets smelled up the room of rotten eggs. However we couldnt because we were just following their lead, wrong. The place is a dump the man behind the desk is 2 faced once he gets his money you are screwed. Please do not frequent this place, if they dont clean their rooms and dont listen to prior comment cards..let them rot. I have never been more outraged, I had to laugh it off cause his reasoning and back peddling was just too much. Good Luck if you stay here or at least in the rooms we had.

Heavenley Gondola busy? Try Calif lodge Try California lodge - at Ski run blvd- miss the queues for the gondola and is a high speed chair, but the heavenly gondola is def worth a ride for the view.Carrows good for breakfast. MS Dixie 2 cruise is a nice way to spend an afternoon! Don't neglect the Nevada side of heavenly - great trails (few flat bits for boarders but not as bad as some resorts!) Nightlife - not like the ski resorts in europe - everyone drives everywhere, so most of the nightlife is centered around the casinos!

It's an awesome holiday location Climb Mt Tallac, it's amazing. Sunset crusie on the lake is pretty good too. Definitely recommend mountain biking the powerline trail. Bikes can be hired cheaply - $30 day. Lake Tahoe sports are great. Patrick is so helpful and lovely.
