I had a great room, great location, but I left my $200 watch in the room which was supposedly never found.

I have stayed at the Ramada West Hollywood many times and its so nice the way the staff remembers your name and go out of their way to make you feel special. I will definitely be back again and again!

Poorly Managed Hotel

I was booked for two nights but cut my stay short. The loft room in which I stayed had a malfunctioning air conditioner, another room was not available, and no manager was on duty until after 11pm. At 3am when I called the front desk, the on-duty manager had not even been advised of a problem. I was offered a free breakfast in the morning. Instead, I checked out. I was charged the full rate for the room, which I am disputing. I've stayed in hotels the world over. While this place is clean and conveniently located, with such apathy toward my having chosen to stay there, I can easily accommodate them in future.

In fairness a reasonable hotel for the money. We spent a week here in October 2003. Its not the most modern or the most glamorous but for the price its a good deal. You are right in the middle of West Hollywood, mins away from great restaurants and fun bars. Beverly Hills is only about 10/15 mins walk away. The staff were intermittently very helpful but generally friendly. I would steer clear from the smoking rooms as they really smelt VERY stale as though there werent aired enough. Valet parking was unecessary but as you have to pay so much to park in the car park, you may aswell use it!!

I stayed at this hotel with my sister on a last minute trip to LA. I thought the neighborhood was clean and safe. Resturants, coffee shops,etc across the street. Very close to major attractions in Beverly Hills. Room was a little drab and service was sub-par.

After already booking my entire vacation, then reading the reviews on this hotel, I was thinking I had made a $1500 mistake. Wrong! The staff was fine, the rooms were fine, and the location was fantastic. It't not the best place I've ever stayed, but it's certainly not the worst. The halls do have a different smell, but it's only because it's an older property. It's not rank by any means. It's a great value, especially if you want to get out on the town while you're there anyway. I'm never in the hotel much anyway when I travel. I gave it four stars. Otherwise, it's average, but the location gets an extra star. You'll be fine here

What a DUMP

Rude staff...had to ask them for help while I was standing at the check-in counter because they were too busy talking amongst themselves!

Had an attitude like I was bothering THEM! Hello?!?!?! That's what you work there for...to help GUESTS!

Thin walls, dirty bathroom, some lamps not working, SLOW response to request of clean towels which should've been there in the first place! Not a whole lot to ask for in my opinion...esp. for the outrageous prices they charge. Definitely expected higher quality hotel/service...DISAPPOINTED GREATLY.

If you want to have a pleasurable stay...DO NOT STAY HERE.

I am not going to waste your time with a lengthy review; so here it goes THIS PLACE SUCKS. Within a couple of hours of checking in we found another hotel and checked out. We didn't want to touch anything and go anywhere in this area.

Less Than Impressed

Needless to say, I was less than impressed with this place. In a word, weird. I didn't care for the minimalist/modernist decor, and the staff was extremely rude!!! Yes rude, my room was very ordinary for the price and I didn't feel that the staff tried hard enough or was earnest enough in accomodating me when I asked for extra towels, come on, this is not an unreasonable request and it was met with a surly attitude. Would not go back to this place!

After browsing travel websites, this hotel seemed the best bet for my money. When I walked in the room I have to admit I was not happy, The furniture looked like crap and the beds were as hard as rocks. As a female alone I wanted to make sure this hotel was safe as well. After staying there for a week it actually turned out to be just fine for my money. I adjusted to the beds, my room was kept clean. I even rented a car and it was so easy and afforable by the very close Exterprise rent-a-car. The valet service was fantastic. The location was great and very quiet at night. I have to admit, I got very sick though. I think the air conditioner needed to be cleaned out. So besides a terrible cold the whole trip, the hotel was a good deal. I recommened it, just bring some Advil.

We stayed here hoping to be in a convenient, safe neighborhood--we didn't get it. The room was small, smelled terrible and had no view. We immediately checked out the next day and moved to the Best Western on Sunset--excellent hotel!! This hotel was dirty, unsafe very overrated!!

First time in LA. Found the hotel after a search through lots of travel mags, internet sites, talks to travel agents. My criteria was for a clean hotel in a safe area. That's what I got. The rooms were a bit funky both in smell and decor. But having said that, I was only there to sleep anyway.The bus at the doorstep to Hollywood is great, the House Of Blues on Sunday is fantastic. They organised a trip to Universal Studios for me and the concierge was most helpful.Tell them to take the in-room-safe charge off if you havent used it. Looking forward to going back

No.4 Bus to Santa Monica There is plenty of public transport in LA but hard to find details. Check out www.met.net before travelling. The No. 4 bus runs up and down Santa Monica Blvd and will take you straight to Santa Monica Beach and back.
