Loved the Hilton Garden Inn, Carlsbad

We were very happy with this hotel. It was spotless and the staff was great. They do use a courtyard area for weddings and private parties, but they were not overly loud. The location is excellent for getting around. You can get on I-5, or take the Coaster train to San Diego. We would definitely stay here again.

Fairly new Hilton Garden Inn, right across street from beach in Carlsbad. This is a very well run hotel--front office staff was friendly and top notch (even had beach chairs to rent for our beach outing), hotel was super clean with outstanding internet and free printing! Rooms were large and comfortable, very nice grounds. Typical Hilton rates but this time they were worth it!

Great Place

This is a great place. The staff was more than accomodating, the rooms are big, well decorated and clean, and the restaurant was great. My husband said more than once "this is a great find". After a long day at legoland it was a real treat to land here. My 5 year old even got to see "Nemo" outside on the lawn for movie night, complete with popcorn! That made his day!

The only downside we could find is that the walls and floors are a little thin, so you may hear your neighbors.

We stayed from the 17-20th of June. What a great Hotel. Very accomodating, The staff went out of thier way to make our stay perfect in every way and We had a family of 6. Will recommend to everyone. Mesa, AZ

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Carlsbad June 19-25th. We are a family of five and had plenty of room and it was very clean. The service was great! I can't say enough about the maid service they cleaned our room everyday and left us plenty of towels. It was great having a fridge and microwave in the room. The location was great right next to the freeway (easy access) and across from the beach although you have to go done a small cliff to get to it. I would defintely stay at this hotel if I am in the area again. PS it was also great having a washer and dryer on the floor and it was easy to get access to during my stay.

What a prefect hotel, the staff is excellent, the rooms are large and very clean!! the hotel is nicely appointed and the food is great.. The pool is nice and I like having lunch and cocktails at the pool.. Really, if you are looking for the right hotel for vacation or even business traveling, this is the place.. The staff will make you feel like family... Can't wait to go back!!!

This is a nice newer hotel across the street from the beach. It's just of the highway and close to lots of restaruants. The rooms all have free high speed, a microwave and fridge. Outside you have a small but nice pool and a hot tub. Forget about the ocean view unless you want to pay serious money. Even as a dimond member I couldn't get an upgrade to it.

This was a nice treat. some rooms face the ocean (it'll cost ya). Very clean, hotel appears to be very new. Polite staff. Is literally across the street from the ocean. A few good restaurants nearby. Average sized rooms and bathrooms. Your basic hotel except that it is very clean and by the beach.

We stayed at this hotel Feb. 25-27, 2005 and found it to be a great location to the beach and I-5. Very nice hotel, comfortable, and clean. Convenient restaurant with good food and prompt service. Had some arguing neighbors which management responded to promptly. Would recommend this hotel.

We stayed there 3 days and 2 nights to take our son to Legoland. Nice hotel-clean and quite, great location-beach front and so close to Legoland, what a view--ocean and sunset, free parking, friendly staffs, etc. Dining was expensive so we ate out...many restaurants and fastfood places within 1-2 miles...saved big times. Definitely will stay there again.

Top Local Tips for Carlsbad

Carlsbad outlets mall if you can get out of the mall by only spending $100, you've done well. Compared to the UK the prices are low and once you start you cannot stop

Lego Land Perfect for the 10 and under crowd. My 3 year old twins loved it and still talk about going to Lego Land. There are a few water attractions so bring a change of clothing. Food is expensive, so be prepared or bring some stuff as we did. On occasion you can find discounted entrance tickets on the internet (we got ours at Costco.com)

this is the only hotel to stay at we have been to carlsbad manty times before, and now that I found this jewel,, I would not stay anywhere else
