All in all a pretty decent place for Barstow

Room was clean and neat, everything worked well and bed was not the Marriott...but it wasn't Motel 6 either. Exercise room lighting was dim due to several bulbs burnt out. Security features were pretty solid. Front desk servicing was first rate...knowledgeable, accurate and fast. In summary, exactly what I expected...not a five star and not a one star: Clean, safe and not too hard on the wallet.

Top Local Tips for Barstow

Reasonable gas station The gas stations around E. Main Street are overpriced. However, there's a station near the Wal-Mart (can't remember the street name) that's more reasonable. I think it's an Arco station, near the I-40 freeway exit.

Shop the outlet malls! We really enjoyed shopping at the outlet malls. We got a few really good deals.
