Top Local Tips for Arcadia

Rent a car..stay away from taxi's My fiance was in LA 2 days before me on business and rented a car for 6 days. It cost him $120 taxes included, unlimited mileage. It cost me $105 for 1 hour. Grant it we have to pay for gas. Plan A was to pick me up if he was done with work. Plan B was to take the Super Shuttle. Plan C was to take a taxi if I was desperate, anxious and wanted to be settled after a long flight. Plan D was to take the Metro since I only had a carry on. Assuming it was 30 min distance and comparable to NYC fares, I chose plan C not expecting more than a $50 fare with tip. If you do not want to shell out the cash and are NOT in a rush...take the Super Shuttle. If you are impatient and hate being in gridlock traffic, take the Metro to Pasedena and zoom through everyone- then take a cab from a 10 minute distance....will not spend more then $20.
