Downtown Disney dining We spent a week at Disneyland in the end of February 2007, so we had opportunity to dine at several restaurants in Downtown Disney. We absolutely loved the Rainforest Cafe (though reservations are strongly recommended). The wait time, we were told, was an hour and a half, but we paid $15 for a membership, and only had to wait 30 minutes, and got 10% off our dinner. The experience was totally worth the wait- the food was great, the animatronic elephants and gorillas and real tropical fish were fun, the service was good. It's a noisy place to eat, but not an experience to miss. We also ate at Naples Restaurant and Pizzaria, and at Tortilla Joes, which are owned by the same company. We were really disappointed here- it was very overpriced, Naples gave us a tiny table, the food was not good. The pizza was actually not bad, but the noise and lack of elbow room and the whole experience ruined it. Naples is not a good place to take your small kids. Tortilla Joes just had not good food.
Check out Mimi's Cafe Mimi's Cafe was 2 blocks north from the Park Vue and had excellent food for way below average prices. We ate there 3 times and never spent more than $30.00 total for 2 adults and 2 kids. Can't beat that.
