Our stay was March 22-26, 2010 Our room faced California Adventure Park and was amazing. We could see them practicing the new light show. The kids loved looking at the view. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We would stay here again if needed. The minor bad sides: The windows are not very efficient and it was a bit noisy at night. We could hear the traffic and the screams from the roller-coaster. My 3 year old did develop a rash from the bed sheets and had to be put on Benadryl. The rest of us had no problem with the sheets. Her ears were immediately itchy and red and then her body got a rash as soon as she hit the sheets. The walk is quite far from the hotel to the park and there are no trams. It was hard without a stroller to carry to little ones to the Downtown Disney monorail station. At night, the monorail is closed between 8:30-10 for the fireworks so you can't use it to come back to your hotel. I wish we would have had our own stroller to use for this commute. It is longer than people let on. Our 7 year old had to be carried too at the end of a long day. I would stay here again for the price, location and cleanliness.

It's been a while since I've been back to the hotel but I would come back for sure and stay at the hotel. The best part of staying at the hotel was I got to overlook Disneyland!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Paradise Pier Hotel. The room was comfortable, the pool was nice, and it was very easy to go back and forth to Disneyland and Downtown Disney. Our youngest daughter loved the character breakfast and the beach-themed room for watching cartoons. We would stay there again.

Top Local Tips for Anaheim

Air and Ground transportation Flying into John Wayne (Orange County) and taking the Disneyland Express was very easy. Smaller airport means less hassle and the shuttle is an easy and comfortable 30+ minute ride to the hotel.

Don't take a taxi to the store If you plan on going to the store after you arrive at that hotel to get some necessities do not take a taxi. The taxi's in the area are not fond of the hotels and will drop you off and not come back to get you. That happened to us, the hotel called us a taxi and he took us to the store would not wait for us and left us 2 miles away from the hotel and we had to wait for more than 30 minutes for another one to come and get us after we called the taxi company 2 seperate times.

Traveler Tips I recommend requesting a room on a lower floor in the hotel, because the elevators are full, and busy in the mornings. It would often take us 20 minutes to get an elevator to the lobby.
