The overall hotel stay was nice. Accomadations were satisfactory - no complaints there. I however did not appreciate the blatent dishonesty shown by the help at the front desk. Having never stayed in this area before I did not realize that parking was charged extra. Had I stayed there before I see, in retrospect, that it may have been obvious. However, no where when I booked the reservation did it say anything about this. Also when I checked in they did not tell me they were going to charge for parking. The next day when waiting a long time in line at the front desk to get change for the vending machine I overheard another guest being checked in and being informed of the parking charge. So, when it was my turn in line I asked whether I was being charged for parking. The reply was yes. I replied that I had not been told so when I checked in. The worker said sure I was and whipped out a piece of paper that I signed about parking charges when I checked in. I told him, yes I had signed the document but nowhere on the document did it say there was a charge and that it was presented to me simply as a waiver in regards to security policy of the lot. The worker replied no it says right here and then pointed to a blank spot that had not been filled in! I quickly pointed out "See!" it did not have any charge filled in when I signed it. He then proceeded to alter the document that I had signed right in front of me to fill in what the charge was! I found this quite offending and dishonest! He was altering the document to make it appear that I had signed and agreed to something that I had not. I'll point out that the worker that altered the document was not the same worker that failed to inform me of the charges when I checked in. So I'm not sure if this is regular practice at the hotel or they just have more than one bad employee.

$$food I-Hop accross from Disney front gates, Why??, CHICKEN FRIED STEAK WITH BISCUTS! Cheap, large portion can be shared with child. Look on Disney's site for low cost eats in the park. Hotdogs in the park are costly, $40 for 4 hotdogs/fries/drink. Clarion hotel for normal food, PBJ's.

Tours you can go to the corner deask and get a tour of los angeles and beverly hills. great tour. But aviod the tijuana, mexico tour!!!!!

Joe's Crab Shack at Newport Beach Although there is a Joe's Crab Shack just down Harbor Blvd. from Disneyland, it's worth the effort (if you have a car) to drive the 20 minutes and eat at Joe's in Newport Beach. It is very kid friendly and the menu is great with super happy hour specials. But the location is amazing. You have a view over the Newport inner harbor, with all the yachts coming and going and the sunset is amazing. Make the effort and get to Newport!
