Top Local Tips for Anaheim
Restaurants When we were there in Feb, Ihop had a special where kids under 11 ate free after 4pm. Mimi's Cafe and Tony Roma's had great kids specials. We did try out Captain Kidds, which is a great deal money wise, but we were not impressed with the quality of the food. It was a less busy time so perhaps that is why. The food was dry on top and not very tasty..I wouldn't go there again. In the park, we found that the Tomorrowland restaurant gave you the most food for your money, and the bread bowls in California Adventure were very good. Of course, our treat meal out, was the Rainforrest Cafe...the food was delicious, a menu for everyone, even picky eaters, and of course the atmosphere, was something we had never seen...
IHOP Directly Across From The Park Entrance Gates Stay away!!! The staff was bumbling and though I'm SURE they see nothing but busy nights, the staff was completely incompetent at handling the amount of tables. Our orders came back WRONG and COLD, as did 2 neighboring tables. They advertise FREE kids meals from 4pm-midnight, but we were CHARGED, as were a neighboring table. Could not get drink refills to save my life.
Anabella Hotel Check this place out. The rates are unbeatable and the Hotel is wonderful. After trying several in the Disneyland Area, this will forever be the hotel I return to. Walking distance to the park and very clean and spacious rooms.

We stayed four nights and the beds were only made completely the first night. Calls to the front desk didn't get results, but this wasn't a big deal for us. A bottle of prescription medication "vanished" one day, and again calls to the front desk yielded no results. Other than those two incidents, our stay was great, rooms were clean and cozy. I would definently reccomend the Candy Cane Inn.
