Top Local Tips for Anaheim
Go to Disneyland off season!!! Went to Disneyland last Tue and Wed. It was the best time I've ever had. I walked on to all of the rides and the cast members (staff) were so friendly and nice. My boyfriend had never been before he had a great time. Grand Californian Hotel on the resort was so amazing. If you love the Craftsman style this is a must see. We sat next to the giant fierpalce and caught our breath. My advice is to get a ACT pass it's the trolley that wil take you to Disneyland and the resort. $3 for an all day pass. Skip eating at the park. Get up early have a good breakfast. Leave the park for lunck and rest your feet. Go back and see the parade and hit the rides you liked one more time!! You can plan out the rides you want to go on by useing Disneyland website. This helped us from going back and forth all day.
Denny's on Katella Avoid at all costs - this place is terrible. Most of the food in the US of A is terrible in when compared to Australia, but this Denny's was easily one of the three worst meals we ate in the whole month we spent in the good ole US of A. My advice would be to walk further down the block, and try to find a place that is popular with foreigners. And whatever you do, don't got to ihop - its even worse.
Getting in As per my review, this hotel offers better access to the parks, even though it is a bit farther away. Cut through the employee parking lot to either the "secret" entrance through the Grand Californian, or take the monorail to Tomorrowland in Downtown Disney. Either way, there will be virtually no line, and it's about a 5-10 minute walk to either.
