I had invited a number of friends to an Officers Club Dinner in San Francisco. I recommended Days Inn, and we all got reservations. We found out the day of the dinner that my wife and I were not able to stay at the Inn, and we were re-booked to a different location that was the worst hotel either of us had ever stayed in. I made about five telephone calls to sort this out: Days Inn blamed the booking agent, and the booking agent blamed Days Inn. Never again!

don't come here for vacation. If you really want to come to the bay area, I'd suggest living in Emeryville and drive to neighboring cities such as San Francisco or the east bay, or anywhere of your choosing; or simply just live in San Francisco.
