Good location in strolling distance of MacArthur Park, Arts centre, Post Office and Rivermarket district. Ample parking and just off freeway for good connections. Reasonable rates, especially at the weekend but let down by restrictive dining and room service times (nothing after 9-30pm. Has a room equipped with 2 PCs, printer etc with 'high speed internet access' which turns out to be so slow as to be literally useless. Also let down by such things as a coffee maker in the room but only one single serving of caffeinated coffee for two people! Staff pleasant and polite but varying in knowledge of services available and ability to speak English. HBO channel thrown in with TV services as well as a local information video on continuous loop (important as there is no other local info. available in the rooms). SMOKING ROOMS AVAILABLE. Rooms next to the elevators cannot be recommended due to noise.

I recently stayed at this hotel. It is right on I-30 and the noise in the room is incredible. There are no information pamphlets in the room - no info on the restaurant, fitness center, etc - not even a card that tells you how much they charge for a local phone call ($0.75). The fitness center has no weight machines. Breakfast is not included - and the hotel clerk was not sure at 1800 if the restaurant would even be open for breakfast the next day. Bottom line - at the bottom 10% of hotels I've stayed in over the last few years.
