Historical Traveller Reviews of Lookout Point Lakeside Inn Hotel
The Whole Package
I have frequented Lookout Point since it was first established and have stayed in nearly every room. Each room has a different decor but the same comfortable and welcoming feel. The view from the rooms is beautiful-overlooking Lake Hamilton and the surrounding hills. Ray and Kristie were very helpful, to the point of calling a local Italian restaurant and getting us a reservation. The entire stay was wonderful, but I must admit that my favorite portion of my stay was the delicious breakfasts!
October 23 - 31, 2006
Need to relax? I needed to and I found the place to do it! Lookout Point on Lake Hamilton is beautiful and restful. My room had an outdoor patio with a view of the lake. It was a great place to start the day with a cup of coffee from the buffet just outside my door. A soak in the tub before breakfast was a real treat. The breakfasts were delicious served by the owners who are very pleasant and helpful. I've not known such easy kind hosts. They set the standard high for excellent rooms, food and rest. The fall color was spectacular but I'm going back before next fall. Just lovely. Check out their web page. True to life photos.
On December 20 three years ago we eloped to Lookout Point Lakeside Inn for a wedding whose memories still warms our hearts and brings tears to our eyes. We had searced for the perfect setting and knew the moment we walked in the door at Lookout Point that we had arrived. The warm woods, soft colors, and marvelous views were picture perfect. We were greeted warmly by Kristie and were quickly assured that the staff could take care of everything we wanted for the wedding. When we found out that she was also a minister from our same denomination, we felt we had been led to the Inn. The ceremony was perfect and the cake, champaigne and flowers just what I visioned. Our honeymoon stay in the Romance room began our tradition of reserving "Our Romance room" at least twice per year for my birthday and our anniversary. We don't like to consider that others are allowed to stay in our room when we aren't there! Each time we have stayed at Lookout Point the breakfasts, service, cleanliness, peace and respite have exceeded our expectations. The service is seamless and we have dubbed the support staff as "invisible" because we never catch them spiffing our room or providing any of the other behind the scenes services. We have Our Romance booked already for our December anniversary and can hardly wait.
What An Awesome Experience!!
We had heard great things about the Inn from friends and family and thought we would give it a try for ourselves. We were NOT dissapointed in any way. What a great retreat for the mind, body and soul. We would highly reocmend it for anyone who wants to just get away and relax!! The entire staff made you feel at home, like we were spending the weekend with family!! It was worth the trip down from Iowa!!
A Gracious and Beautiful Getaway
Lookout Point deserves a five-star rating. The grounds contain flowers and plants of all colors, there's a waterfall and a path that wind down to the lake. Each room is immaculate and decorated with wonderful works of art and antiques. The food is delicious and the service is even better. But, the best thing about Lookout Point is the atomosphere of peace and rest that sourround you as you enter and that feeling stays with you the entire time you are there. We look forward to out next visit to Lookout Point.

Martha and I travel a bit. We haved stayed at B&B's and Historic Hotels across this Country and Canada for 20 years now. The Lookout Point Lakeside Inn in Hot Springs, Arkansas, is ONE of the BEST we've enloyed. The accomodations, food, and hospilitality are unsurpassed. We will go back someday, Lord willing.

Nice anniversary weekend
I planned the trip to the inn as a surprise for my husband on our anniversary. He likes B&Bs but he hasn't always liked not having quiet, privacy, and a private bath with a nice-sized whirlpool tub that sometimes comes along with the experience. But at Lookout Point, you had it all - the intimacy and hospitality of a B&B but with privacy, a nice-sized private bath with a whirlpool tub, beautiful lake views from the room, a wonderful breakfast served by the owner himself. We swung in the hammock, took the canoe out for a little while, checked out a movie from the movie and library, and just had a very nice time together. You cannot go wrong staying at this place.
Great Place - Lookout Point Lakeside Inn Bed and Breakfast
If rest and relaxation is what you're looking for, then look no more. The Inn Keepers have thought of everything to make your stay as pleasant and stress free as possible. It's the first B & B that I've stayed at where you can hang out there all day and do nothing or do something. The view of Lake Hamilton is absolutely exquisite. I won't say any more and give it all away, because you must experience it for yourself. A TRULY WONDERFUL GET-A-WAY!
Excellent place to enjoy life.
If you are looking for a place to relax and be pampered, a slice of heaven, this is the place for you. The inn keepers, Ray and Kristti, make certain that all of your needs are met, and usually go above and beyond. This is also characteristic of their daughter Kelley as well as the rest of the staff. The inn and landscaping are meticulously maintained and manicured. Kristti, an ordained minister, married my wife and I in their rose garden at the inn. This beautiful place is very dear to us and we will return for years to come.

Lookout Point Inn is the perfect weekend getaway. My wife and I loved every minute of our stay. The innkeepers and staff were friendly, the food was wonderful, the lake view was beautiful and the evenings sitting by the lake were just what we needed for a perfect weekend!
Top Local Tips for Hot Springs
Skip the Back Porch Grill Restaruant
This place is crammed between hotels and condos in a strange sunken building. We sat on the back deck in plastic chairs beside the lake that smelled like stagnant water and ate lukewarm sea bass and steak. The staff was very young and friendly, but the food was overpriced and below average in quality.
Plenty of Spas to choose from.
Garvan Woodland Gardens
Visit the chapel and then tour the gardens. Be sure to bring along a camera and wear good walking shoes. The gardens are beautiful in bloom. While it has a good bit of shade, it can be very warm if not down right hot.
