close to beautiful degray lake degray lake lodge can be visited, enjoy the fireplace and beautiful lake view on a sunny summer day, very nice especially coming from texas ........ we had a nice diner at the lodge while our kids watched the tv next to the fireplace, we could watch them watch tv while we ate, they refused to stay with us and we were lenient. when they came to the table they had chicken nugges and we had yummy all you can eat fish, chicken and salad.... very decent and relaxing. next time would like to stay at the lodge, but mainly without the kids, pool at the lodge looks very nice for the summer. drive on highway 7 is beautiful, filled with trees on drive to hot spriings. also driving to russsellville north is very relaxing and beautiful, with trees everywhere, very few cars! hot springs has restaurants and good walking and site seeing, nice beauty in the national partk if you are a nature love, you must go there!!!
