I came to Tucson to attend a special birthday celebration for a friend, and arrangements were made to stay at the Lodge on the Desert. This charming lodge with pleasant, comfortable rooms, naturally planted grounds, accommodating, friendly staff, and convenient restaurant facilities provided a quiet retreat from the hustle of the city just outside its walls. We all wanted to come back!

Find the desert. The Sonoran Desert museum is a must see and gate's pass.

stay somewhere else other than Lodge on the Desert Stay away from the employee, Marylou Adney unless you don't mind if your married male family members and friends get hit on and touched by someone who is old enough to be their mother. Thought it was supposed to be a classy place not a paton place.

breakfast place Try Franks/Fransciscos restaurant on the corner of Alvenon and Pima for breakfast. Very local, very good, and affordable.
