Great! Wonderful Service!

from A TripAdvisor Member
Stayed for a 5 day getaway for our 15 year anniversary. We got a great rate at priceline, then upon check in we were upgraded to a spa room, ground level with a patio that looks over golf coarse. Great customer service!

Poco Disappointing

from denineo
We stayed at the Poco Radison April 10 and 11. My husband surprised me with a beautiful Christmas gift of a get away for the two of us. We flew to Las Vegas and spent time there and then drove to beautiful Sedona. Sedona was gorgeous but if we had to stay at the Poco again, we would have reserved a room on the first floor looking out to golf course where you could sit outside. The room although clean and (no mildew) was disappointing. Just a regular hotel room that looked to have been decorated in the 70's. The staff was wonderful as they were very friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough about them. They were the best part of the resort. Sedona is gorgeous!! It was rated #1 for beauty in the USA Today... and now I know why!!!

Loved the Radisson Poco Diablo Resort

The Radisson Poco Dioblo is one of our favorite places to go to get away. The Staff is so helpful and Courtous. We love the beautiful Hotel and Scenery. Patricia Barnaby

Sedona or Bust!

from A TripAdvisor Member
My wife and I spent the better part of a week at the Poco Diablo in early April. The Red Rocks were awesome and Sedona is a great location for planning day trips (i.e. the Grand Canyon). Our stay at the Poco Diablo was, by in large, very pleasant. After reading another review, I called a few days ahead of our check-in and mentioned that we were visiting over our 25th wedding anniversary (really). As it turned out, the manager gave us a free upgrade to a spa room w/gas fireplace that overlooked the golf course. The room was large, very clean, comfortable and no sign of the dreaded mildew. The only negatives were low water pressure in the shower and a little noise from the adjoining room. We liked the fact that we could get a massage on site. The rest of the facility (food, pool, fitness center, golf, and tennis) seemed quite adequate, but nothing fancy. Based on our experience, we would recommend the Poco Diablo. Our favorite places to eat (Oak Creek Brewery and El Ricon Resturant-Mexican) were only a short drive towards town.

Comfortable for the Price

We have just returned from our visit to Sedona. After reading some of the reviews of Poco Diablo I was very concerned about staying there. We had a very nice room overlooking the golf course with beautiful views of the red rocks. If some of these people are so picky why don't they shell out some real cash and book into Enchantment? I bet they'd be singing a different song then. As with everything else in life....you get what you pay for. All of the staff were extremely friendly and efficient at all times. Had a great massage (yes, you have to pay extra for the nicer things in life). Would go back in a heartbeat.

a huge disappointment

We reserved our room online expecting a "resort" but finding a property in worse condition than your average rundown motel. If we had wanted a motel, we would have gladly paid for one. A motel may not have had a golf course but at least the condition of the room and facilities would have been in better condition. Our "nonsmoking" room smelled of smoke, the carpet was worn, the shower curtain had a hole, the closet door was off track and the lobby decor was also mid-70s. Don't trust the website photos; if they are of this hotel, they have been manipulated. There are many other nice(r) hotels in Sedona for the same amount of money. The only saving grace was the staff, who were gracious and eager to please, probably because they are accustomed to responding to disappointed guests.

Resort? Hardly

from atstpier
This hotel has seen its better days (about 25 years ago). The first room they gave us had a window facing an air conditioning unit. The room still had a bedside commode out in the bedroom and it smelled like it was recently used. The carpet was dirty and the soap was already opened with the wet wrapper remaining on the counter. They did change us to a different room, but it was simply passable. This "resort" should really be called a hostel.

Very disappointed

My family and I recently visited Sedona and stayed at the Radisson Poco Diablo. The outside appearance of the resort is lovely, however, our room appeared rundown and in desperate need of refurbishing. The carpet and chairs were stained and the bedspreads seemed worn. We complained to the front desk and the manager offered another room in the same building. This room was somewhat brighter because of the location but was in the same condition. Apparently this was the originial building for the resort. The manager stated that the hotel was full so he was unable to give us another room but offered us a free breakfast. Unfortunately, this did not compensate for the poor accommodations.

We liked it

from kawaguy
You could probably stay in a cave and still think Sedona was wonderful, but we liked the Poco Diablo. It's south of town, and I think that's an advantage. Easy to get in and out of Sedona, and away from the crowds.

We booked the Jeepers package (including a Pink Jeep tour) plus an extra night. They were friendly and helpful about arranging it, and I suspect they gave us more room than we paid for. Our Jeep tour didn't get booked properly, but the concierge made a nice recovery. The tour was TERRIFIC so it would have been unfortunate if we had missed it.

There's free high-speed Internet access if you have a laptop and don't mind sitting between the pay phones. Our room was large and luxurious, and the setting was excellent.

The restaurant didn't suit our needs, but it looked fine and there were plenty of other options within a short drive.

Yikes mildew!

I booked a special romance package 3/13/2004 in a Poco King villa for one night $199 plus tax which included a bottle of wine and breakfast for two. Upon arrival I made the comment to my husband that I hoped the inside was better than the outside of the villa. After glancing around at the dirty worn carpet with a whole in it, mold around tub, leak stains on ceiling and cracked frame around door on dead bolt lock side I wanted to leave! However, it was late and the two other locations we called were booked. Thank goodness we were planning to stay only one night because I would have rather headed for the forrest to a campsite that stay in this pit! When I addressed my concerns to management they acted completely suprised and acted as if I was the first to bring this to their attention. Thank goodness I took pictures so I can advise higher management of the substandard room that I paid full price for!! The wine was never offered we had to call for it and after seeing the room condition we could only imagine the restaurant kitchen...needless to say we did not partake in the breakfast for two! Don't book here, stay elsewhere!
