Excellent Romantic

Excellent service. Wine and breakfast complimentary. We stayed on a cottage right on the river. Graham, the concierge, and the front desk, Dora, and others were great. You really feel like it's more of a home, rather than a hotel.

I've been impressed with L'Auberge resorts in general.

My husband and I stayed at L'Auberge de Sedona for three nights, January 12th - 15th, 2007. I can hardly begin to describe what an amazing time we had at this hotel.
My husband likes to keep busy during vacations, and he must have called both Scott and Lars of the concierge at least a dozen times in the week prior to our arrival. They handled each phone call graciously, followed up on every request, and had some great recommendations for activities in the area.
When we checked in, we were immediately greeted by Viktoria, who explained everything we needed to know about the resort, and swiftly checked us in. We were taken to our cabin, which was creekside and in a lovely secluded location. The cabin was beautiful. It was very cozy and charming, and the complimentary wine and fruit and cheese plate put out for us was a nice touch.
The next morning, we had an early spa appointment, and we wanted to have breakfast beforehand. Room service begins at 7:30am, but that would have been cutting it a bit close to our appointment (we were supposed to arrive at the spa at 7:45am), so the restaurant made arrangements to bring our breakfast to our room at about 7:20am. It arrived promptly, and was absolutely delicious!
The champagne brunch on Sunday was terrific. My husband's birthday was that same day, and we had reservations for the restaurant that evening as well. I went out beforehand and purchased Coldstone ice cream, his favorite, and the restaurant arranged to bring that for dessert. My husband also called the restaurant beforehand to ask if they had Amstel Lite beer, which is the only kind of alcohol he isn't allergic to. They didn't have any, but the manager of the restaurant actually left the property and purchased some so that my husband would be able to have a drink. The service was outstanding.
Overall, this resort was absolutely incredible, and my husband and I are already planning our return trip!

I picked this hotel because of the location, it is basically in downtown, but off the main drag enough for it to feel like you are in a cabin in the woods. Location was fantastic. Check in was smooth and efficient, very friendly staff. We stayed in the lodge on the second floor. We were taken to our room where staff pointed out features of the room, the complimentary bottled water, CD player, bathrobes, etc. The room was very clean and comfortable, it had a small balcony with chairs and a table that we probably would have spent time on had it not been cold and snowing! When we arrived they had a plate of cookies in the lobby. We went down for the evening wine/beer and appetizer hour, which was very nice. They had fires going in both fireplaces and were offering complimentary chair massages as well. Evening turn down service is a nice touch we found when we arrived back from dinner. Great toiletries, hair dryer, extra towels, all nice to have. Great water pressure and temperature in the shower. In the morning we enjoyed the scones and coffee/tea/hot chocolate in the lobby. Staff was very accomodating and professional, without being "stuffy". Upon checkout, we requested to see a cottage for a future stay, they showed us a 2 bedroom/2 bath cottage, a great option for visiting with another couple. The grounds are beautiful with the creek as a border. We ate breakfast in the restaurant - oatmeal and the apricot brioche - delicious! Would definitely recommend this hotel, we paid $195/night plus the $20 service charge that covers all tipping (except at restaurant and spa), considering the quality of the room, staff, the extras such as morning scones and evening wine hour, this hotel was a fantastic value. We will return!

Auberge de Sedona a four star?

We booked our reservation through Amex travel (uasally dependable) for three nights at this hotel. We found very small, rustic accomadations that seemed WAY over priced. The standard room was barley big enough to turn around in and the suite (ie ) shack we were in @ $500.00 plus a night was substandard. We attempted to check out and I heard EVERY
reason why we could not. Finally ,I left and disputed the charges with american express.This hotel is living on a past reputation it no longer deserves.FYI- we found the Enchantment Resort (the other amex recomendation) to be great, even though it was a ways from town.

Not worth the money!

We stayed here the Sunday night of Thanksgiving weekend, after many guests had left...obvious from the clutter in the lobby restrooms and stacks of papers around. Pleasant and helpful greeters, and nice continental breakfast. On the downside..the room in the main lodge was in need of some fresh paint, the bathroom was tiny and awkward to use! Not easy to close the door and still have some room. All in all, many better options abound in this exquisite part of the country and this place is simply not worth the cost.

We stayed at the L'Auberge de Sedona Resort which is one of those rare to find pearls in the Hotel industry.
There cottages are so idyllic and romatic...just beautiful
Gorgeous grounds, beautiful relaxing setting and scenery by the creek.
Friendliest staff i have ever experienced, exremely helpful and knowledgeable
The Concierge set us up for 10 days in Sedona and Arizona with some unforgettable tours and hikes,
Stargazing Friday night is amazing, every morning they feed the ducks by the restaurant. Overall a very pleasant experience with many little nice details
....make sure to try out there restaurant by the creek (great service, excellent food) and with a spectacular wine list
just relax and enjoy:)

Auberge, the cream on the Sedona pie!

Last February, my wife and I had a delightful stay at the L'Auberge in the artist's haven of Sedona. The naturally carved unbelieveable red rocks, meandering rivers and abundently friendly people were complimented by the old world charm of the staff and resort, buildings of the L'Auberge. We enjoyed the telescopic, guided "tour" of the cosmos on the grounds by the local astronomer. Our cottage by the river was private and simply luxurious. The spacious beautifully decourated rooms provided the "quiet-from-the maddening-crowd" we needed. The complimentary bathroom slippers were a delightful touch! We chose the extrordinary sampler, at the first-class, on site restaurant. This was a 7 course meal of delicate, perfectly prepared and presented dishes, each harmoniously accompanied by a expertely chosen wine. We are busy folk and we thoroughly enjoyed our entire stay in Sedona - The L'Auberge was the cream on the Sedona pie!

Nice, but needs some work

Nice property, good location, beautiful views. But though the staff try hard, there's just a lot that's not perfect, considering the rates.

The property has a very European feel -- especially in main lodge with the nice large fireplace and evening drinks, but like in Europe, the rooms are smallish, with little storage. No room for large suitcases!

We also encountered some service situations that were downright bizarre! For example, we asked to borrow a bottle opener so we could have a beer by the pool since there's no food or beverage service there. Three employees went to track down an opener, and came back empty handed, saying one wasn't available. We finally did get to use one after making a small fuss, but it's such a little thing that should simply be available for guests' convenience -- we shouldn't have had to jump through hoops!

We also experienced loss of air conditioning one night, and banging and bumping due to renovations in the main lodge during our stay. We know the hotel is trying to improve itself, but at these prices, things should be flawless. We'll try Enchantment next time we're in Sedona!

Rarely have I found a hotel with the individual attention and sincere warmth that exists at L’Auberge de Sedona. This property shines in all the right ways! With a great staff and storybook location, L’Auberge made for a memorable experience. From the minute we arrived and beyond, attention to our every need was delivered by warm and friendly staff.

With their creek side location this boutique property seemed to “wow” us at every turn. The cabin we stayed in was spacious and made for relaxing. With a large comfortable bed, cozy couches and warm fireplace we had to pull ourselves from the room. When we did, we found the rest of the property to be just as wonderful. The restaurant served up a fantastic breakfast and dinners that are out of this world. The spa completed the package with customized services that took pampering to a new level.

Experiences like this are rare and hard to find. My hat’s off to the team at L’Auberge, somehow they managed to match the magnificence of their location with their own awe inspiring service!

My girlfriend and I stay at the L'Auberge in Sedona Arizona back in early August of this year and had a great time. The accommodations and services at L'Auberge were top notch, I could not find a better place to stay in Sedona if I tried.

I would highly reccomend the L'Augerge Resort in Sedona Arizona to anyone looking for a top of the line resort. The staff at L'Auberge were very helpful and extremely nice. You can't find better people to serve you at any other resort in the area if you tried.

I give the L'Auberge of Sedona 5 Stars * * * * * and Two Thumbs Up...

Dining Try the restaurant on property the food is great. The outdoor sitting area near the creek is great.

Helicopter Ride Take a heli tour of the red rocks and Indian Ruins,...was the absolute highlight of our trip

Lunch in Sedona/Watch out for time shares Get a lunch to go or stay at one of two places, Memories, off the main strip, and the Wildflower Bread Company. Both have great sandwiches for about six bucks. Take 'em on a hike or eat 'em there. Also, watch out for "info" booths/stores manned not by tourist info people but time share properties trying to encourage you to go visit their place. I know people who did this and got $100 to spend in town, but after the third time of thinking I was about to get tour information it was annoying. And, oh yeah, for some reason the locals think "Uh huh" is a way of saying "thank you." Not sure why; it comes off as rude even though it's not intended that way.
