Clean, quiet and reasonable

Perfectly located for the car traveller, and well presented. A bit far out for walking to restaurants or shops, but then again most people staying here would have access to a car anyway. Overall, good value, well looked after and spacious clean rooms.

We only had one night here, and I wished we could have stayed longer. The rooms are fresh and clean, and are really hugh. The property is very nice as well. The pool was heated, but it was too late for us to go in after we finished strolling around down town.
The Complimentray Continental breakfast was great lots of stuff to get you started. We had a lovely supper downtown, lots of choices there. The matherhorn hotel was our other choice, and it was right in the heart of the downtown area, which would also be nice. The Days inn is a few miles away down the main street, but too far to walk. I would stay here again for its great value and quality rooms, but I might be tempted to try the other place so we could walk and leave the car at the hotel? Sedona is a beautiful picturques place and certainly worth seeing.

Amazing value for Sedona!

This hotel is a superior value in Sedona. My sis and I just finished a 4 night stay at the amazing AAA rate of $63/night! But please note: we are no frills type of people so this place was perfect for us. Others who want romance, deluxe linens, terry bathrobes, room service, mints on your pillow, etc should NOT stay here; it is after all a Days Inn. But for others, the room was clean, quiet and roomy enough for 2 adults. We requested a 2nd floor room and if you can handle carrying your luggage up stairs, highly recommend it. The view from our porch was spectacular! But as someone else posted, pretty much all hotels in Sedona have spectacular views. The breakfast was strictly continental; no hot items and not for the low carb crowd. However, every room has a fridge and microwave so we just picked up items at the local New Frontiers store down the street and nuked them for breakfast. Heck, at this price we could have eaten out for breakfast every day. We did not use the pool because of the cool temps but the hot tub was wonderful; nice and hot with very powerful jets. It felt so good after a day of hiking. Plus we thought the location was convenient to everything we wanted to do. One drawback for the light sleepers: the heating/cooling unit in the room was loud. When it kicked in, it woke us up. We fixed that issue by just running the unit until we went to bed, then turned it off. The room stayed nice and warm. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED this hotel and will DEFINITELY stay here again!

We were quite happy with our two night stay at the Sedona Days Inn on November 19 & 20, 2005. The king room was clean, decorated well, especially for a lower priced motel, with newer looking furniture, carpet, bedspread & shower curtain. We had a microwave and refrigerator also. There was a front and back door with chairs out on a small patio in front. Parking outside the door in back. Water pressure was very good....be careful of the very hot water. A nice hot tub, which my husband said was a good hot temperature. Also a pool which was closed for the season. Continental breakfast off the lobby area in a room with several tables and chairs. It was what I'd call an expanded continental breakfast with two types of cereal, bagels, a couple types of danish, bananas, apples, juice and coffee. Several restaurants within walking distance. A multitude of restaurants within a mile or two driving distance. Free internet service in the lobby. Desk clerk was very friendly and helpful, and when asked, gave us a recommendation for a restaurant that was excellent and within walking distance. Also gave us suggestions of things to see. Other employees we encountered were all very friendly. If our travels find us in Sedona in the future, we will stay here again.

Days Inn Sedona is a good value for the money. Average, nothing spectacular. It was clean and there probably isn't any room that you could stay in that doesn't have a gorgeous view of the Red Rocks. The bed, however, was very hard & uncomfortable. The continental breakfast was OK, and it was nice to have seating outside to take in the view. The staff was generally friendly and helpful.

We ate at Relics, a steak house down the street and received a good meal and nice service. The airport restaurant was good and has all-you-can-eat Shrimp on Saturday nights, overall a bit pricey though.

Good value in a pricey town

We stayed for one night in one of the upper rooms on the side away from but facing the road. These have the benefit of a private balcony with a great view to Thunder mountain. The room was very clean and comfortable with coffee maker (and complimentary coffee in the lobby), microwave, iron etc. The room also had plenty of storage for clothes – the best of all the 10 hotels we stayed at during our trip to the US.
There is an internet PC in the lobby, but no WiFi yet.
There is a pool and hot tub in an enclosure in the car park, which looked OK, though we didn't have an opportunity to use it.
The motel is on the edge of town but it is across the road from a well-reviewed Greek restaurant – unfortunately, it is only open a few days a week, so we did not have the chance to try it. Instead we ate at Dahl and DiLuca, which is about half a mile along the road from the motel and was excellent.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. Overall, we thought the motel was excellent value for money.

The hotel is not right on the tourist strip but is only a short drive away. It is a very good value compared to the cost of the hotels on the tourist strip. The hotel also has a good view of the mountains. We had no problems checking in or with the staff, but the person in front of us did. The continental breakfast had a very limited selection and the eating area was too small.

What a deal

This is a gem of a hotel in a very pricey area. Days inn have great internet rates. This hotel is on west end of Sedona, so you do have to drive about 3 miles to uptown Sedona but still near alot. Incredible service, property and pool area is awesome. Cute cactus garden in back Probably the best Days Inn I have ever stayed at. The Pink Jeep tours will even stop by and pick you up at the hotel, and the clerks have 10percent off coupons.

Clean and friendly

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They recommended the best site for seeing the sunset (Airport Rd) and local restaurants. Our room was very clean with amenities like a fridge, microwave, blowdryer and iron. The pool water was refreshing and clean and our toddlers loved playing on the steps located at both ends. The internet service in the lobby was FREE and there is a cold water and Powerade vending machine by the pool. The view from our room was beautiful. I will try to attach a photo! Breakfast included fresh fruits, a variety of bagels and juices, etc. We will definitely return to this hotel. A great value!

Nice place, good value

We got 2 rooms for about $90/day/room over July 4 weekend. Nice place, nice rooms, clean, comfortable.

Free breakfast was fine (no eggs/meat, but plenty of pastries, juices, coffee, apples for a light/quick breakfast).

Overall it was nice. The night-staff (a indian man, forgot his name) was super nice and friendly, though the few times I've called during the day, the lady at Days Inn that answered the phone always seemed to be in a hurry and was brief w me (but ok w that, she did answer my questions).

Top Local Tips for Sedona

Hiking at Bell Rock is the Best There are tons of trails in Sedona, but among the best (and I tried many) was the hike a Bell Rock and Courthouse Rock. They are together on a fantastic loop. Parking is excellent and the trail is relatively flat, making it accessible to almost everyone. Great for kids, senior citizens, or seasoned adventurers!

Airport at Sunset You go to the Airport, probably the best single picture taking spot in a beatufil area, at the most wonderful time of day: sunset. But, when you get there, you see the 50 million other people, the full parking lot, and wonder what the heck you were thinking. Then you get to experience the joy of leaving just when every other Joe and Suzy wants to leave. The view is great, when the crowds aren't in your way, but at sunset that just isn't happening. Go there a few hours before sunset, grab some awome pictures, then get the heck out of dodge.
