Fabulous stay!!!

An unexpected delight! We generally stay in 4 or 5 star hotels. But on this trip we had a problem finding a hotel that would allow kids (dogs yes, kids no). So we "settled" for the Arroyo. We were very pleasantly surprised! We stayed in the main building. The view from our room was spectacular. There was even a fountain below our lovely room terrace. The furnishings were new and the building was very well maintianed. Our bathroom was brand new. And we received better service than we have at many other "Luxury" hotels in the past. There was great attention to detail; a small refrigerator in the room, climate control that didn't have to be fussed with, superior quality towels and sheets, great housekeeping and a really responsive staff. This place also has a good central location.

Great view and location

Our rooms overlooked the Red Rock Canyon and had a suite with a small patio. The rooms were spacious and the shower and jacuzzi were clean and just the thing after hiking all day! The location is great for knocking around Uptown Sedona. Lots of restaurant choices within a few minutes. The breakfast buffet is definitely not for any South Beachers- we joked that we were carb-loading for a big event.

A most enjoyable stay.
Excellent friendly and efficient check in and out.
We requested a mountain view room and it couldnt have been better!
Truly stunning just sitting there on our patio absorbing the peacefullness and calm. Definately worth the supplement charged for the view.
Nicely furnished with all facilities and with "comfortable" beds.
Centrally located within easy walking distance to the Restaurants and shops in Uptown Sedona.
A very good choice complimentary buffet breakfast .
Nice swimming pool and again that view!!
Recommend to all and would stay there again without hesitation.

we stayed in a cottage or cabin behind the Arroyo Roble Hotel. It was great. It had 2 bedrooms kitchen and large living room. we were all by ourselves in the back. Nice and quiet If you have the chance to stay there instead of in the hotel do it not sure if it is much more then hotel. we paid 200 bucks but shared it with friends so it was only 100 bucks . Loved Sat Arroto Rpobedona most of all loved the pink jeep tour... well worth the money........

Great place to stay, close to everything

The hotel was within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Almost every room has a great view of red rock mountains. Compared to other hotels that cost a lot more for views, this was a bargain. Highly recommended. Also has a clubhouse, pool area, walking distance to creek, and complimentary breakfast, great for kids.

Convienent and comfortable

I stayed one night with my family. The location right at the end of the uptown area makes it a perfect spot for walking around. Nice pool, very clean, decent room, amazing views out back of the hotel. Basic continental breakfast in the morning. Friendly staff.

Spent one night at hotel-room and bathroom pretty small. Sedona is beautiful but get off the strip (touristy) and take a ride into the mountains!

Hotel is walking distance from town and has a continental breakfast included. The hotel was clean-but it is more of a motel!

Red rock views to die for

On our car trip from California to Colorado this summer we stayed for one night at the Best Western Arroyo Roble hotel in Sedona. We had stayed there two time before. Our room had excellent views of the famous red rock cliffs and is very near Oak Creek. It was walking distance to shopping and restaurants. They now have a breakfast buffet which is fairly good.

On our last visit in about 1998 we had smaller children and I booked a lower level room with a patio rather than a balcony. That was a mistake because our view was compromised and we had no privacy because other guests would have to walk by our patio and sliding glass front door to get to their rooms. Also, that room seemed very hot and cramped.

This time our room was much cooler and airy. Go for the red rock view because the other side just looks out on other buildings and a few homes. They have a nice pool and you can get guest passes for a condo complex below them that has sauna and steam as well as pool and spa.

Great location, great views

Our family (2 adults, 2 children ages 8 and 9) stayed at this hotel in June 2005 and had a great experience. We opted for a room, not a villa, and were happy with our choice. The room was clean and quiet and had a nice-sized balcony overlooking the mountains. We typically stay in Marriott and Hilton type hotels and this hotel is a nice match with those.

Pools: There are 2 pools. The outdoor pool is large enough to keep my active kids busy and happy and pretty enough to keep me relaxed and comfortable while I watched them swim. The indoor pool has a heated whirlpool that is for adults only. This pool also has a pass-through to a second outdoor pool and my kids enjoyed swimming between the two areas. It's important to note, though, that you can't count on this pool to be open during electrical storms because part of it is outside.

Location: This is where you want to be in Sedona. We were walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, and tour groups. We didn’t have to get in our car again once we parked in the hotel.

Breakfast: The hotel offers a free continental breakfast that includes waffles, toast, muffins, fruit, juice, and coffee. It’s hardy fare – only missing eggs and breakfast meats.

Staff: The hotel staff was courteous, helpful, and nonintrusive.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel and plan to stay here again if we ever return to Sedona.

Great place to stay

We stayed here Father's Day weekend. Most of the hotels in Sedona were filled, but we reserved it about a month in advance. We got an AAA rate of $145. Our room was large, with 2 beds and a balcony that looks out onto one of the pools, a fountain and the red rocks. We were in the main building, as opposed to the villas down the hill, which are mostly timeshares.

The bathroom was small, but the sink and counter were outside, and there was a small fridge underneath. When you check in, you get a guest pass that enables entry to the clubhouse and an indoor/outdoor pool. We had to show it once, when we wanted some balls for a pool table. The clubhouse also has free internet access, a ping pong table, racquetball, hot tubs, sauna, steamroom.

The grounds are very nice, and we frequently saw people cleaning and picking up garbage. The complimentary breakfast includes cooked-to-order waffles. There are nice gas grills on a deck near the creek and a play fort.

Our only complaint was that there was a loud humming that came from the air conditioning unit, even when the unit was switched off. It would turn on and off by itself. We ran the fan at night to mask the sound.

We would definitely stay here again.

Red Rocks State Park Nice outdoor experience, nice visitor center. Good for small kids and grandparents to experienc a short hike along Oak Creek and experience the Red Rocks.

Sedona info and tips Biggest tip: when you drive into Sedona the first thing you want to do is pull over and take a picture! But then, you see the sign that says a Red Rock Pass is required so you don't stop. When I went to purchase one at the visitor center, I found out that if you don't intend to hike but are staying near your car just to take pictures, etc. you don't need a pass! I wish I had known this on the drive in to Sedona where I passed up many photo ops thinking I needed a Red Rock Pass. / Sedona Trolley tours provide a nice tour/orientation. Coffee Pot restaurant has great salads and sandwiches for lunch. We did the Verde Canyon Railroad (4 hours) and Blazin M Ranch dinner show in one afternoon/evening. This was a great combination. We also drove to the Grand Canyon for a couple of days. I would say that the Verde Canyon Railroad and Grand Canyon were the highlights of our trip.
