My husband and I have been coming to the Bell Rock Inn for many years, and the last time (May 2004) - we noticed a heavy smell of cover-up perfume in the hallways and very stale air. Every time I tried to open a door in the back to get a cross-breeze, it was shut, and the smell was almost overpowering. The room was fine, but unfortunately, the nice view of the rocks has been lost due to the construction of yet another bland type of accommodation that seems though have filled up all the open spaces in and around Sedona. Too bad for everyone!

We were most pleasantly surprised to find the quality that we did. From check-in to check-out. My wife became sick and we had to leave early. We will return to the Bell Rock Inn!

Buy a Sedona passbook at Chamber of Commerce For $10, you get a book that gets you 2 for 1 meals, plus discounts on jeep tours, etc. Even if you are going to be in town for a few days, this will pay off on your first meal. We loved Oaxaca restaurant, and there were 2 two for one coupons. Used them both.

It's smoking hot in August in Sedona, AZ If you can go in early July or better yet wait until October, which many of the locals told us is the best time of year to come. Also don't forget to purchase a Red Rock pass from one of the local visitor centers BUT Beware of the folks behind the counters who are continuously ready to sell you timeshares. NOT what I went away on vacation for. Have a plan of action, or esacpe as I call it before you run in to buy your pass. ARe they nice? Absolutely. Are they stealthy. YES! I don't want a free dinner, pass for a Pink Jeep tour or anything else.
