The staff was just amazing and the grounds were breathtaking. My $81.00 room was nicer and more beautiful than some $499.00 a night rooms I have stayed in. The staff was most helpful in helping me meet my 6:45 AM flight the next morning. I will definately be back. This hotel is a jewel.

This was one of the best resorts I have been to. Everything was great and the media centre was allot more than I thought it was going to be.

Top Local Tips for Scottsdale

World-class pizza, why go to Europe? Try Grimaldi's pizza in Old Town...awesome stuff! Great salads, decor and a crust to die for. Also, the Coffee Roastery in Scottsdale off Pima Road offers a special bean from Ethiopia that's grown with blueberry bushes. Very special flavor without actually being "flavored," just the slightest hint of blueberry in a lucious, rich natural coffee. Best cup I've had in a long time, this country or any.

Get a car Depending on what you plan to do, you will most likely need a rental car, unless you just plan on hanging around downtown Scottsdale. Allow time to get in/out of the maze of the rental car separate area from the airport as it is almost like awhole other town away from the airport(buses take you to the airport) Also, keep in mind that if you add insurance to you car it will be another $100 to your total. I was not sure I would need it but just in case, I felt it was a good idea since I took a trip to Florence to the CountryThunder performances one day...some serious wind and dust!

For a hearty breakfast The hotel buffet is very expensive, and the other option is danish, etc. For a great breakfast, go to The Good Egg Restaurant in the shopping center directly across the street from The Borgata mall on Scottsdale Rd. a short drive south of the hotel. We always enjoy the breakfast there. On a warm evening try the Old Town Tortilla Factory in Old Town Scottsdale at the end of Main St. across from the Valley Ho Hotel. A wonderful outdoor patio and GREAT margaritas. If you also want dinner, food is very good, but not exceptional.
