Top Local Tips for Scottsdale

Scottsdale, or Stepford Town? Scottsdale was so neat and tidy it was almost scary. Artwork along freeway 101 was amazing. Funniest and most confusing sign I ever saw: "101 Loop/Left Lane | 101 Loop Right Lane." No North or South until further on! Finding gas stations was difficult, and it's a good thing we weren't after fast food. All signage is very subtle. **Signage good on the way back to the airport rental car place, until !! CONSTRUCTION blocked off the road, with no tips on detouring to the rental car place! We managed, but I have a husband that's not cowed by things like that. I'd have been in a complete panic and would have probably missed my plane.

Scottsdale restaurant find Go to WildFish in the Scottsdale Waterfront complex on Camelback Rd. Great fish, great wine list, big portions, very hip atmosphere.

Lots of Great Eating Incredible pizza at Grimaldis (and I'm an Italian from Brooklyn, so I know), the best grilled pork chops at the Pink Pony, wonderful Vietnamese at the Noodle Ranch, and super sushi at Kyoto.
