Hot Air Expeditions We were driven out to the take-off field by the staff, and fully instructed on what would happen before, during and after our flight on the way. The flight was wonderful with fantastic views, and the Balloonist's Breakfast at the end was tasty with a small quiche, a pastry, slices of apple, a small wrapped round cheese, champagne and orange juice, and we were then returned to Phoenix. The trip was fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone who would like to sail slowly over the desert.

Running in Phoenix I stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Phoenix and asked if there was a place nearby to run. I was given a cool little card that had a running route mapped out through the City. I thought that was great so I set out. I quickly found myself in a deserted part of town with some seedy looking people around. Now, maybe I'm just a safety freak, but as a woman alone, I wasn't comfortable running in a strange city through a deserted part of town. I quickly turned around and headed back towards the hotel. Take it for what you will, but I did not feel safe following that recommended route alone. With a partner, sure, but not as a woman alone.
