As we were travelling from New Orleans thru Phoenix and Vegas and SF to LA (altogether over 5000 miles in two weeks) and moving to new location daily , all we expected was : great sevice , comfortable beds , quiet and spacy rooms , satisfying breakfast snack .... - we got it all , therefore overall rating a/a .

Top Local Tips for Phoenix

Driving in Phoenix After getting lost a few times, someone told me how to figure out the Phoenix street system. All of the directions are relative to a central point.....the intersection of Washington Ave and Central Ave. Any numbered road , eg 7th., to the east of Central Ave. is called a "Street." Any numbered road west of Central is called an "Avenue," eg. 7th Ave. Sections of roads North of Washington are labled North, sections of roads south of Washington Ave are labled south. So if you see a direction N or S on a road sign, you know where you are in relation to Washington. If you're on a numbered avenue, you are west of Central. If you're on a numbered STREET, you are east of Central

all ways call ahead call the hotel ahead and get directions so the taxi diver cant stiff you or get lost. and if your driving a rental get to the speed limit fast and you should drive 5 mph over this is a very me first get outof my way driving place

watch out!! if you rent a car you need to know when you get on the road get to up to speed and get there fast you will get hit if you dont drive with traffic ignore the speed signs and drive what everyone around you is driving. if you get a taxi call ahead and get dirctiond some taxis try to stiff you and some dont know there they are going
