Computers were down on arrival, so had to wait 20 minutes to check in. Room look good but at 8.30 pm loud pressurise noise was heard from the back of the wall. It took 30 minutes for the maintenance engineer to arrive, and he advised that the noise was coming from the service duct and was likely to go onto midnight. No alternative rooms were available, but after much complaining the staff suddenly managed to find a room for us.

Historical Traveller Reviews of Radisson Woodlands Hotel Flagstaff

Nice hotel but bed was uncomfortable

from HarvestMoon
We stayed at the Radisson for one night for a business party. The hotel service was excellent and the room was very nice but the bed had that "valley" affect. I kept having to hold on to the edge and pull myself up all night. Radisson TV commercials state they are putting Sleep Number beds in their hotels. If they upgrade the beds, then we would have no complaints about the Woodlands. Good location and the restaurant was good (only had breakfast). The catered meal for the party was only so-so but the party service was great.

Nice Hotel

from Theresehols
Nice hotel overall. They could improve the quality of their thin scratchy towels and maybe include some more shampoo, we had one small bottle between 2 people. There were also some train noises.

Really Pleasant Stay

from Sportphotodog
This hotel had all the right things for a tired traveler. Quiet, Comfortable and a great breakfast in the restaurant from the regular menu.

Decent hotel but breakfast over priced

from oandl2005
We stayed here 1 night after visiting the Grand Canyon and on our way to Scottsdale. It is a good hotel and value for money. It has a pool and computer in the lobby. The rooms are nicely furbished and well kept. The restaurants offer varied choices of food but you have to pay extra for breakfast which turns into bunch after 10am. Easy to find this hotel when travelling through.

Decent choice in Flagstaff

from lweng
We stayed in this hotel for one night during the Memorial long weekend. 4 rooms were reserved for 4 families with small children and we found out that this is a pretty good one. We enjoyed the sauna and whirlpool as well as the pool in the hotel and the facilities are pretty well maintained. Rooms are clean and spacious and expecially if you stay in the #13 room of each floor, you get a little den area with a nice table set.

We paid $82 per room (including taxes) and that is a bit higher. I believe ~$50 would be a good price for winning bid from priceline.com.

Good choice in central Flagstaff

from Synman
Slightly faded upscale hotel. Convenient and convivial. Quiet except for some distant railroad noise. Good restaurant (but try the restaurant at Little America hotel - excellent!).

Pretty Good

We stayed at the Radisson Woodlands on April 7th between three nights stay in Las Vegas. We needed a place to stay after a day at the Grand Canyon. We were pleaseantly surprised after reading some not so pleaseant reviews here. The lobby was nice, we loved the fire place. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly. No complaints.

Loved it

from A TripAdvisor Member
After skiing all day at the Arizona Snow Bowl, it was a welcome relief to head over to the Woodlands Radisson. All the comforts of home, fireplace, spa. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant, although pricy at first glance has incredibly good food. Well worth it actually...Its also always quiet and well staffed.

We have stayed at this hotel twice two years in a row and each experience has been wonderful. We'll come back.

Great Bed

from MiddleAgeGuy
Spent five nights in March 2005 here. We loved the "Sleep Number" bed. If you have a problem with too-hard mattesses try these. This was the only hotel we could find in Flagstaff offering them. Hotel was very clean and quiet even with weekend wedding receptions, parties, etc. going on. I understand that some Flagstaff hotels here are close to very active railway but this one was not. My only regret was spending $24 for breakfast for two. A bit much for two vegetarians.

Sweet 16 Birthday Ski Week-end.

from A TripAdvisor Member
We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel is very well kept and beautiful and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Our rooms were very comfortable. We loved the fireplace in the lobby and the chef at the Tampanyaki grill in the restaurant is top notch - what a show! Everything was perfect for our teen's 16th birthday ski week-end.

Top Local Tips for Flagstaff

Use Hotwire for the best deal in Flagstaff The "customer favorite" 3-star hotel in central Flagstaff is the Radisson Woodlands. Definitely worth the money for its class. And, if you are concerned about the constant noise of the trains passing through town every 15 minutes, the Radisson is for you. It's a short drive to downtown but far enough from the tracks that you won't hear those horns all night.

Eat at Cottage Place & Brix If you are in Flagstaff for 2 nights or more make sure you book a table at Cottage Place and Brix, both are truly amazing, with great food, amazing service, great wine lists and attention to detail that you would not expect for a town the size of Flagstaff. I cannot recommend them enough.

Flagstaff Airport Fly in to Phoenix, rent a car and make the drive up to Flagstaff. Don't pay the extra to fly directly in to Flagstaff.
