Enjoyable!

from M99999
Days Inn Flagstaff is a really good value for your money. The rooms are ordinary but really clean, the staff is friendly, breakfast is good and the even have nice lobby area. Weather was cold so we didn't try the pool but it looked nice, as well as the all other garden areas. We were really satisfied and if we're coming to the area again, we'd definetely stay at the same place.

Great Place, Friendly Staff, Excellent Value

from MalcolmC
An excellent and convenient place to stay of great quality. A peaceful oasis in the noise of Flagstaff. Reception staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. Lovely lounge, bar and breakfast area with a good choice and a quality breakfast including make your own waffles. Rooms were good, well appointed and clean. Plenty of eating establishments around the area.

Good Value

We stayed with our 2 teenagers and this hotel was far better than expected. The rates were so reasonable that we were able to get 2 adjoining rooms. Both rooms were clean, with comfortable beds, coffeemakers, and plenty of room. The pool was closed for the season (it had just snowed), but is large. The lobby was a nice surprise--spacious and inviting, with a small gift shop, a seating area for the free morning breakfast, and a game area. The pool table in the game area (coin-op) was a welcome diversion from driving. Breakfast was enjoyable--the fresh waffles are a hit! The location was handy, easy to get to downtown Flagstaff, shopping, and restaurants. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. There is some train noise, but it's far enough away not to disturb sleep at all. We'd stay there again!

Comfort - March 2005

I booked this hotel after reading reviews on this website. I traveled with my daughter and we both thought this hotel stay was pleasant. We stayed our first 2 nights and then came back for our last night during a 7-night/8-day road trip in Arizona. The rooms were cozy and spacious and the complimentary breakfast was okay. Other than the waffles, they had cocoa, coffee, juice, cereal, oatmeal, and toast. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful, which is what made this hotel a good choice. If you stay here, try the Galaxy Diner just about right across the street. Great food, nice atmosphere, and very friendly service. My daughter and I ate there 3 times (whenever we were in the area).

Very nice, great rate

Although this hotel is not the newest and is very large it is still cozy and nice. The rooms are fine, the staff very friendly, the breakfast area is enormous and the variety of items offered just great! It is a good gateway to Grand Canyon.

Definitely satisfied

from Desert Family
My (family) group of seven reserved two rooms for one Friday night and all were very pleased. Both rooms were clean and the larger room even had a small loveseat/hide-a-bed in addition to the two queen beds, at no additional charge. The kids loved playing in the snow in the courtyard area, and the complimentary breakfast was nice also. All the staff was very friendly; everyone made us feel very welcome. I was a bit concerned about the previous posting regarding the heater in the room not putting out hot enough air, but that wasn't a factor in either of our rooms. As a matter of fact, we both ended up turning the heaters off for a little while during the night, as the rooms became too warm.
We were all satisfied with our stay and would return again.

Great Stay Over the weekend / thanx to these reviews

Just returned from a weekend in Flagstaff and based on the bellow reviews I chosed this hotel for my familly and friends to stay at. I can not give it any less of a rating based on its nightly price. Wife was pleasantly surprised and the kids had a blast making the morning waffles every morning at the complimentary breakfast. This hotel is very kid friendly and the rooms were nice (although the heaters inside both rooms could 've been pushing HOT'er air). Great place to stay . . .very nice hotel for the money . . . try it . . you will be happy.

t Beat the Price!

from MOOutdoorGirl
We stayed at this hotel for one night in early Dec. 2004. We got to Flagstaff in the middle of a snowstorm. Luckily, I had a reservation based on other reviews! I called the front desk to find out the easiest way to get to the hotel, and the staff was very helpful. The room was just typical hotel fare, but the price and the staff make this place better than average. Also, they had a decent complimentary breakfast, with a waffle maker. If you don't require 'deluxe accommodations' this makes a great overnight stop.

Great Choice in Flagstaff

Just returned from an overnight stay on our way to visit the Grand Canyon. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was helpful and courteous. If you get a chance, have breakfast at the Galaxy Diner - just up the road from the hotel. Excellent meal!

Top Local Tips for Flagstaff

Lowell Observatory June and July are the best months of the year for star gazing. At lowell observatory you can learn about starts/planets and see them. They have good telescopes and the staff is very very good. They would answe your questions and explain everything in detail.

Mandarin Buffet Used the 10% Discount Coupon available in the Hotel Lobby restaurant rack, so ended up being about $9.00 per person. Some things were already spoiled and still sitting out under the heat lamps. No salad options at all, save some wilting iceburg lettuce. I ate the sushi in fear, but no, did not get sick, luckily. Nothing really tasted good, except the chow mein.

Grab a bite to eat first! If you're making just a quick stop overnight, visit downtown Flagstaff for a quick bite before heading onwards. There are several specialty restaurants with excellent food, and the feel of a quaint but modern downtown in the mountains makes for excellent views! It'll help to last you through the long desert between Flagstaff and LA.
