I recently reserved a room for a Courtyard King, Deluxe Oversized King for friends When they checked in they were given a regular king room overlooking the parking lot. They telephoned me from the hotel as they were told they had to use their own credit card as the hotel could not use my card with which I originally made the reservations. I called the hotel personally and was told they needed a copy of the front and back of my credit card and signed authorization form. I called and spoke to the supervising manager. I was told: When I made the reservation, I was only holding a reservation, not actually booking the type of room–even though I was paying for the deluxe. I asked about the credit card charge and was told it was hotel policy. I asked her that if the guests hadn’t been able to check in – wouldn’t my credit card have been charged anyway? She said yes. At no time did she offer anything for our inconvenience and dissatisfaction.
The staff wasn't much to talk about. You felt as you were more than a bother. For two nights out of the 8 days we stayed at the hotel, we had no water. No shower, no restaurants...nothing. You get the picture. Great news is that we finally got our water back, But to get it back, we had no air conditioning!! As the front desk said "At least we are having a cold wave." It was still hot in the room. When it was time to leave, we stressed our concerns to the front desk.
