Where to stay I think the only hotel to stay in in Juneau is the Westmark Baranof.

Tours Save your money on the tours stop at the booth for chamber of commerace where the ships dock and get a map then take a cab or rent a car and drive to these sites. You can see whales from many points along this road without paying to go out on a tour boat. At the Mandenhall Glacier the parks dept has a great educational walk inside that will tell you about the glacier and park animals. There is an elevator for those with a need. They also have a gift shop, remember to bring you cameras.
