Fairbanks - Join the fun, Participate and experience it all Immaculate Conception Church is a must on your itinerary, the parishoners are close knit yet welcoming with open arms to all visitors- and the sermons are phenominal and straight from the heart ! Take the 2 hour drive to Chena hot springs -a must also on your itinerary- but make sure to take your own suit and towels- they charge 5.00 per towel rental. Walk the trails of Creamers Field, take a friend or two along or just your dog. Chena pump house resturant and saloon has good food. Blue Loon is recommended for spirits and catching the movie " INTO the WILD". Make sure to contact Paws for Adventure for the best dog sled deal in the area. Leslie will help you bundle up with her extra outer wear gear and always has a smile and a story to share. Rest assured you will always be in good hands if in case of an emergency- Fairbanks Memorial ED staff is superior and very caring. Wedgewood Resort is an excellent place to stay while visiting Fairbanks. Keep your eyes open for lots of Moose.

Fairbanks If you have never been to Fairbanks, it is a great base from which you can go in all directions. In town there is Pioneer Park (made up of original buildings from Fairbanks which now house gift/art shops. If you want a deal some of these shops are the cheapest in the state), Museum at the University of Alaska, specialty shops on 2nd Ave. Go north on the Steese Hwy and get into tundra country and the gold fields where prospectors are still mining. Go south on the Richardson Hwy to Delta Junction and beyond and see wonderful mountain views or south on the Parks Hwy to Denali National Park. You can spend a lot of time here easily.
