Discovery Riverboat Cruise - A must do! I really enjoyed the Discovery Riverboat Cruise on the Chena River While the events are staged, (dog mushers, native village, reindeer, etc.) the trip is packed with things to see and the narration and history are wonderful. I really appreciated the logistics of the trip and how everything stayed on time and there was a time for everything. It rained cats and dogs while we were there and the riverboat gave everyone a poncho to wear - gave - not sold us one. There wasn't a hand out on every corner for a tip either. There is a lot of indoor seating and huge windows so we didn't have to stand out in the rain. We did have to endure the rain to tour the native village but the presentations were good.
