parking at the hotel you will have to get a parking permit from the desk for the lot across the street. Overnight parking is free, if you leave your car after 9:00 a.m. there is a charge.
Tourist Ripoff Pricing!!! Refer to the article for details There really isn't a whole lot to do in Anchorage itself. A day and a half are just fine for seeing what's there. Get out of town -- up to Denali and further north for Alaska's BEST attractions.
The never-ending light in June is difficult This was the most difficult thing to adjust to during our trip - it never gets dark. So since we were operating on EDT, at 9 PM it felt like 1 AM and was as light as 3 PM - my body did not know when to eat or sleep.
