Smoking Room For Non-Smoking Reservation

Despite specifically requesting a non-smoking room, and receiving confirmation through the internet booking website, we were placed in a smoking room that absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. We arrived late on Friday night, due to the distance we traveled and the necessity of securing the horses at the stables where the equestrian event was held. Needless to say, we were exhausted, and the lateness of the hour forced us to stay in this disgusting smelling room. When I complained to the night clerk, she gave me a spay can of room deodorizer that smelled even more disgusting than the smoke. I was extremely disappointed in the motel and in the internet booking site for allowing this to happen.
