My wife and I accidentally left several items of clothing in our room upon checking out on May 31, 2010. We contacted the hotel the next day and left a message for the head housekeeper to report that these items of clothing were left. After several unanswered messages we decided to make a special trip back to the hotel to see if we could catch the head housekeeper or general manager. We caught the head housekeeper by surprise. We were informed that she had checked and would check again to see if she could locate our clothing. She explained to us that LaQuinta had a procedure in place that required the housekeeper cleaning the room to bag the items left and place them in a designated area within the facility. She also told us that these items would be labeled and maintained for a certain period of time. Needless to say this procedure was not followed and we have not regained our clothing. We contacted the general manager of this facility and after about 15 – 20 calls, leaving messages for him he finally contacted us and said that he would look into it and have someone from Corporate contact us. After several weeks of waiting to hear from LaQuinta corporate headquarters, we were finally contacted and our statement was taken. Once again we were told that it would be reviewed and we would be contacted. This has gone on for about (4) months without resolution and we are very disappointed with the way this whole situation has been handled. No one has offered to make this right. Our hope and prayer is that no one else will have to experience anything even close to this unacceptable level of poor customer service. We felt that it was only fair to share this horrible experience with others so that you can choose a place to stay that appreciates your business, will treat you fairly and will take care of your personal items as indicated in their established procedures. We really wish that this had been handled differently.
