White Water Rafting in Veracruz We did a lot on our trip. My daughter and I speak Spanish and were comfortable traveling by SUV in Mexico so we drove. My daughter, son-in-law, family friend and I all agreed that one of the highlights of our three week trip around Northeastern Mexico was White Water Rafting on the Rio Filobobos in Veracruz State. The river was magnificent, beautiful and clean. There are numerious rivers in Veracruz suitable for rafting and rafting conditions vary throughout the year. During our trip the Filobobos was rated at Condition II and III according to our guides. We used Adventurtec which is headquartered in Puebla, Puebla. But there are numerous companies that specialize in outdoor activities like rafting and tyroling (which we also did).

Mucha musica June is a wonderfully musical month in Jalapa. Free concerts in the parks and elsewhere abound.
